I must admit I didn't read all of your post and I most probably did a horrible mistake to judge the thread by reading the title.
But I really love the new terrain ( Especially the Large Biomes ) , I really love going through kilometers of Forest or any other biome , it makes it very realistic for me and I love it.

The Large Biomes option is a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand, the terrain has more potential to be decent, but the transitions are worse, easier to notice, and overall BLEH. And read the entire first post dude.

The transitions are exactly same. Large biomes only changes biome placement.

Isn't it better to go through kilometers of forests with random hills and lakes in it?

Due to the caves (and WAY too common ravines), another good formation that seems to be mostly lost are small caves that only go a bit under the surface then cut off. Almost all natural cave entrances now go into the huge "spaghetti" system (not systems) that all Minecraft worlds now feature. If anything, it should be the other way around: most cave entrances don't go very far, and only RARELY there is a HUGE cave system. There are also too many loop caves that go in and back out of a single formation. The only place where they are okay, at least in my opinion, are in mountains, and most of the time I see them in forests and plains.

There shouldn't be a determined frequency as to how many times a big cave should appear. If there is random cave size variation, then each world will be truly random in terms of the underground system.

I suggest you go back and read the OP.
Large biomes doesn't really change anything about the terrain (though I do prefer it since biomes are bigger and therefore the captain-obvious transitions are easier to avoid) but the suggested terrain generator would basically make the terrain a lot more varied and a lot more interesting.
Think about it: you like walking through kilometers of forests. If we got our way, you wouldn't be walking through yet another forest any more; you would be walking through YOUR forest.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
If minecraft used the Dwarf fortress terrain generator, the cave problem and the biome problem would be pretty much fixed We can always hope....

The poll disappearances are really getting annoying. At least I figured out how to revive it, but it goes down like every damn hour.
I don't know why, but I'm getting the feeling that the poll disappearances aren't coincidences.

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
You can add my support to the OP chaos, As I am also sick of the terrain generator, The surface is so bland and the underground is swiss cheese. Caves are in desprate need of being more rare, and the surface needs more cool floating islands, epic overhangs, actual beaches(Not just sloppy sand piles), a better underwater(Instead of sloppy blotches of sand, dirt and clay everywhere), and of course Gravel Beaches, getting to see those again would be awesome.
I still think jungles should be less frequent and more exotic. They have teh most height variation. why not give them even more?
Not necessarily. Their frequency should be determined by the seed (random) just like every other biome. I also think that every biome should have full height variation, but for biomes such as plains and swamps, the frequency of finding a mountain or cluster of hills should be very low, however leaving a slight chance for you to find a mountain range in those biomes. I'd fine it very cool.

If only there were seeds shown then...
Do you want the seed? Here it is:

I will make an announcement when the letter is sent.
You're missing the whole point! What's more important? Biome transitions or having variation within those biomes?
Options aren't always a good thing I guess.

Here's something you can't find in forest biomes now thanks to 1.8.
There shouldn't be a determined frequency as to how many times a big cave should appear. If there is random cave size variation, then each world will be truly random in terms of the underground system.
Thanks! I will explore it when I have more time.
I suggest you go back and read the OP.

The Dwarf Fortress generator would not fit well in Minecraft. The two games are quite similar, but just think about how it would work in MC...

Think I will be on here often? Haha no.
