I got 20 days but the thing is I am kinda like a morlock when it comes to minecraft.
I would climb down the super long ladder in my base to the underground portion wich is 95% of it, use my passcode sequence to get into my control bunker, pull the lever that collapses the ladder shaft and all additional secret entrances, and live of of my under ground tree farm wheat farm grass reserve cow breeding pen chicken breeding pen pig breeding pen pumpkin farm melon farm carrot farm potato farm and hostile mob looter.
If a creeper is about to blow up next to you, the best action is to take out your sword and block. It halves the damage, and doesn't rely on having somewhere to run/jump to. In fact, you can even use it as a form of rocket jumping, if you time it right.
For comparison, on hard difficulty, standing on the same block as a creeper, with enchanted diamond armor, and blocking, I was able to jump to the top of a 5-high obsidian wall, and take half of a heart of damage. Throw in some potions (regeneration is always fun), and creepers become basically a joke. Unless they were spawned from a monster spawner in a Vechs map, in which case they are still going to be very deadly.
(Standing next to a creeper when it blows up will launch you enough to climb a 2 block wall. Standing on the same block basically requires terrain assistance, but is enough to ascend 4 blocks. If you jump at just the right moment before it explodes, you can extend that 4 blocks into 5) (And, with the right equipment, you still only take half a heart on the hardest difficulty)
Also fun: "0" doors, where the only way into your base is through a 3x3 area, 3 deep, of cobblestone that is being regenerated once every 5 seconds by a cobblestone generator. You can get in with a diamond pick, but nothing else can.
