So I have seen dozens of videos with signs on the sides of chests to tell whats in them , both single player and multi . SO someone ...tell me ///how do I place a sign on the side of a chest in single player ?

You can't

Its a plugin for multiplayer and maybe a mod for singleplayer!

Look up chest sign mod or something like that!

Worldedit can do it. Put a block where you want the chest to be, put the sign on it, then select the block, and //replace [block] chest.

Can't be done in vanilla though.

i think you can via bug.

saw a thread saying you can place torches on vines hanging directly over chests. yet to try it, but signs probably could too.

Edit: Just have to love necrobumps.
