everyone stop your bitching.
Everyone has a different opinion, there will never be something that everyone on earth agrees on, so dont argue about opinions, learn to accept them.
Minecraft is terrible in 1.8.1+ 1.7.3 is the best they should have put it out as full version with bug fixed.
i completely agree with you. I miss the days when i was playing 1.7.3 with my friends on their server. I honestly hate the new extended biomes bit. it take the feel away from minecraft for me. other than that, everything is perfect in my book.
Honestly, I'm fine playing in 1.9, and was having an OK time in 1.8...
...but, the updates and having to drop old worlds to have new stuff included was the only real issue the entire time through my entry in at 1.7.3 to now.
I am happy that most of the changes did not force me into too many changes in gameplay. Hunger is acceptable to me, and the EXP bar I'm not concerned with. I don't need to touch potions, so they aren't vital, and I don't need stuff from The Nether, it would just be nice to eventually get some materials from there one day and build something in over world, without cheats.
There was also the mod issues, falling behind because of the sudden gambit of updates.
I hope the code freeze resolves the issue of needing to create new worlds to enjoy new features, or I'm going to be upset by that. It is the only focal point I would see rational to scrutinize them on if they do not come through with a solution by release or shortly after. I'm tired of the debate between scrapping worlds to enjoy the updates or sticking with old and missing out on nice new features/the full experience.

To be honest Id love if there was a "get rid of the god damn biomes" option... I liked my nice grass alpha worlds damnit!
Minecraft has gone from being a sub-par not-even-half-finished-game to a good start of a decent game.
Bring on the features!
I expect expansions coming rolling in after release. I really REALLY really hope that the current code freeze is in no way permanent...
They do, however, need to add more customization to the game creation options. As in, not only have NPCs/structures options on/off, but sliders for rarity, and of course for other things such as biome size, lake rarity, puddle rarity, ocean size, % of water, rarity of the different biomes and so on.
@Sakotsu Quit your bitching bro, just because someone has a different opinion doesn't mean they are wrong. Jeez, you're more annoying than my brother, and he's annoying as hell.
I personally dont like the newest additions (Potions and enchantments), so you know what I do? I don't use them and go about my way. This game has no point, no story line, no ending... So therefore no expectations or requirements. The game is whatever you want it to be. Nothing more, nothing less. And thats what makes it unique.
Side note: I would like to see an option menu to turn off features you dont want to use maybe? That could help the situation I think.
Soweeh, i have been in a crappy mood today because my dog is really sick and i can't take him to the vet until someone can take him yo it. :mellow.gif:
*cough cough* Creative mode *cough cough* Incoming mod support*cough cough*
Minecraft can (used to?) integrate creativity and survival in one game. Unfortunaly 1.9 makes these completey separate modes. One doesn't even look like the other.
And I don't mean how it was in 1.8. In 1.8 they're still similar. In 1.9 they are way too different.
" It used to be about exploring the land, and making creations so amazing" ^ What the OP said ^ 1.8 - 1.9 are adding new biomes and blocks. Biomes = adventure. Blocks = creations. Then the other stuff is for multi-player role-playing. Like the /me . Enchanting is like wizards, full armor and a sword is like warrior. Now I'm getting off-topic. Just enjoy what your getting. It isn't changing the game (well, the lag is pretty annoying...) if you don't focus on the enchanting and potions. So just enjoy it. Also, you know you can back-date minecraft? I could play 1.0 ALPHA right now.
I don't give a diamond about them so far until the full release comes out im not gonna judge ill put my word in on things like feedback and polls so my voice is heard but until i see how Notch fully wants the game out keeping what ever he wants in it like dragons i still like it.
So far ive enjoyed everything although the hunger thing is a bit annoying tbh.
I agree. Hostile mobs were good as a deterrent and something to avoid while you survived. I don't think the combat side of the game was strong enough to add more rpg elements to it.

I agree, the game is easy enough. Maybe if there were bosses etc I might say you need potions, enchants...
You're being stupid. The new additions take nothing away from the game (except hunger) they only add. The new systems will appeal to players who prefer an adventure RPG style of gameplay and remain completely optional. Nothing is forcing you to craft an enchantment table and grind thousands of mobs for XP. You don't have to be a wizard or a warrior you can still build a firestation night club and be a fireman stripper for all I care. If you just miss the way Minecraft used to be then go play the old versions.
TLDR: The newer version of Minecraft allows the player to play Minecraft in even more ways than before.
I'm sorry, but your totally right about this^^^.
If my post didn't help, press the green + in the corner.
I think everyone can agree the cake was a lie.
Redpower gets pretty close to that...
