Wow, so many creeper huggers, and the number keeps rising lol
Anyway, people will do whatever they want to do, but maybe someone will get the message of this topic and start doing at least a few things in a better way.
i totally agree! some people are just here to complain, but the fact of the matter is, notch didnt HAVE to make the game, you didnt HAVE to buy it, and jeez, if you are really that pissed off at a video game, then you really need to get a life.

That's the point, but Minecraft is so addicting that they can't let it go even if they hate it lol
Couldn't agree with you more. Most of the complainers are probably either very young or they just have no clue
EDIT: 400TH POST. :ohmy.gif:
Well, yeah, mostly fit with the "very young" description, since 50%+ of the Minecraft players seem to have 12-14 years old. But there are also a lot of 20+ players who have nothing better to do than making useless topics complaining about things we've seen so many times already... anyway, that's how this kind of forums work anyway.
Thank-you very much for this topic. There have already been many topics like this one, but this one is one of the only logical ones that people actually want to read. So thank-you :biggrin.gif:
I think that people should have at least 30-50 posts before being allowed to create new topics. Because 90% of unwanted topics are owned by people with under 50 posts. That'll allow them to learn what the community is like before they do something stupid.
I tottaly agree (heh tht includes me) :sad.gif: well i still dont complain about this game ITS AWOSOME
1: Yea, you are right.
2: I still hate some updates. But I won't shout it to the world in a topic every day :biggrin.gif:
There's some types of complainers:
1: Like me, who likes an update, but hates something that MUST come with it. Ex: I hate the potions and enchantments. I had a better mod for potions, but now this leaves me confused, and I must delete one(As one is sure to stay, the other has to go), and dont like the combinityrytyrotery (EXDEE?) of enchantments. BUT! I REALLY like the way animals breed and dont de-spawn, we can finally make AWESOME farms, its... its... ITS JUST EPIC!
2: Someone who hates an entire update, and a big hater, lost the will to play minecraft and dont know why, and they just rage mindlessly around the forums. OR Hate something but dont have the mind to backdate/dont update the game.
3: And MANY-MANY versions, what is under the brain-clinic-mistakes topics :biggrin.gif:
As for voting: I hate thant I can't say: "You're right, people should complain less! :smile.gif:" and "I love hugging creepers! :biggrin.gif:" =D
Now I wonder if you voted for any of those lol
Anyway, nice comment indeed. Some people doesn't take too much work for their comments and it's good to see that there are a few users giving more specific opinions :smile.gif:
Geez, I was reading until the 3rd page when I realised there's 4 more pages. I'm just gonna post.
My opinion is that people, everyone, no matter how informed or uninformed, have a right to complain if they have indeed legitimately purchased the game of Minecraft. "Noobs" (which is an offensive term) are a respectable (in size) and viable target audience. Clearly, to them the discomforts of playing the game are very real and disturbing and their opinions should be taken seriously if they were rightfully recognised as a possible target audience.
I believe that complaining (recognising there is something wrong or missing) is the first step of improving something, anything, everything. New players have just as much right to be displeased with game features as anyone else, and making any kind of complaints does not automatically make a player inferior to any other player. The Beta phase of development is specifically there to test the waters for new features, and right now is the time to complain, not when the game is finished and released.
It's the decision of the game's creators and project leaders which target audiences to focus their efforts on, and I am curious what their take on it will be.

That's indeed a very logical and mature way to see it. Something we don't see a lot in this forums :/
First of all, i'm german, so please don't expect proper english from me - thanks - but i will try my best.
Second, i didn't read everything in this topic. You know, to mutch of those cheerleder posts like "Full agree!".
I don't think that most of people do really understand what your topic is about.
So, to show that i'm an idiot too, i have to agree to the first post and it also tells us something about every gaming community of all genres. Let's make a sharp point. In my opinion, most of those people, which effect everybody with theire negative voice, are kids - i don't prefer the word noob. Kids, it doesen't matter of which age, there are enough of those adults which are far behind with in theire heads.
They always³ complain about matter in games which is added to give players a new challenge. Its like they want everything to be easy. Instead of waiting how developers fix it or give a bigger advantage, they start screaming and raging. Yep, Minecraft is still in Beta and i love to see how Notch is making a big Game out of it which bring, like i talked about, more challanges and a bigger sense into it. It gives me hope that Notch don't let ragers ruin his ideas (ok, Endermans are something else - people can discuss about it and they did).
At least, ragers/trolls/kids(noobs) will be there, everytime and everywhere - but they give us the change to show that not everything is painted black and that there are still people which support the develepors - with theire voice and the payment for such a great game. We are gamers and we have the holy mandate to tell the ones behind a game what is wrong and how they could make it better - in a polite and objectively way.
greets.
Well, technically, most of the Minecraft players are kids. A lot of polls made about player's age have proven that more than 60% of the members are 14 years old or less.
One thing...
Long complaints, written out, get TL:DR'd. IMO. I scanned what you said, and I agree with you- But many people are on just to complain about bugs, piracy, mods, or other crap like that- But hey, I'd like to see them make a game like Minecraft. Anyone up for it? Ready, set, go... And show me a BETA, emphasis thereof, that is as amazing.
Slightly ironic. Complain about complaining... Yet not so. Meh. At least it was thought out, not:
MAN THESE QQ'ERS SUCK IMMA HIT CAPSLOCK CUZ ITS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL AND RAGE ON THESE FORUMS CUZ IM A NUBCAKE!
Lulz. But you'll never get that- The intelligentsia will read and agree with your post, but the dimwits will go on raging and hating.
Ignore the trolls, enjoy the game, and be happy. :laugh.gif:
Wow, you managed to sum it all up in just a few paragraphs. And even better yet I agree with all of it! Especially the part about Minecraft "losing" it's "essence", because you're right! The game isn't even finished yet haha.
People: GIMME 1.8 NOW
Notch: ...
People: AWW WHENS 1.8 COMING
Notch: ...
People: HURRY UP
Notch: Hey everybody Minecraft 1.8 has been "leaked" so I guess you can all play it.
People: OH COOLSIES
People: OMG ITS SO BUGGY I HATE IT
Notch: *facepalm*

HEY, DOES ANYONE ELSE GET THE IRONY IN ALL OF THIS?!?!
'CAUSE I DO.
Yes, I do. The OP is making a much longer and more drawn out complaint than most of the ones I see on the forums. :tongue.gif: Its more mature than others, though.
And there's nothing wrong with someone complaining about something. Its their free will, and if you're trying to force it upon them to like the game as it is, then you're being an even bigger asshole by attempting to control how they think. Not everyone will "like the game as it is" -- some people actually criticize the game instead of accepting everything, and thats how some things are added, but most of the complainers are immature. The complainers end up insulting Notch because he and Mojang aren't seeing what they're asking for, they're ignoring it, or they just won't do it. They don't "complain for the sake of complaining" and if they were true trolls they would be actually trying to **** people off as well as be posting things like lemonparty and tubgirl.
Also, there are plenty of children on this forum, so you really can't avoid immaturity. I myself am 15, so I suppose I am a child... deal with it.
This was a very impressive read. I myself read everything to the last letter. I am very glad that someone ha the courage to take arms against the machine we call the troll, the noob, the child, and even other names with the simplest of weapons, their own intellect and creativity. I am proud of you sir, I only wish I had the will power to do as you did.
There is a fact that people will complain, but the repetitiveness and stupidity in a complaint is what strikes me back, even to the point of anger. This was a great thing to do, and I hope many people are moved the way I have been.
I wish I could give you more than a +1, maybe even more than a virtual handshake, but I am limited to what my computer allows.
You sir have done what many have tried and failed, you made an attempt to cleanse the community of the wretched, vile people we call noobs and trolls, so I both congratulate you, and warn that to take away the right of complaint is to strip humans of their speech of opinion.
You have become a hero in the word of this being, maybe even to those of others, but as most heroes you will someday fall by doing something either wrong or against the will of another. I hope that day not be soon.
Oh, by the way I would like to congratulate you on your English, it was perfectly understandable, and I wish you luck as a writer, as said in one of your posts.
Oh, and I do see some irony, a post that, if I may say, "Troll's the Troll and saves the Trolled".
As said in the title of your post, I really did want to read this. Thank you...
*Starts to beep* "This message will self destruct in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1- never mind..."
Edit: Did I really just start the eighth page? Interesting. I wounder how many people will actually read this other than the op (if he reads this).

You should probably write a book, your narrative is really interesting lo but, to be frank, a lot of people is too lazy to read long posts, and probably 70% of the noobs who actually complain over and over about the same thing without giving any reasonable explanation didn't and won't read either my post or yours, but well that's how it is and, in time, you get used lol
I don't really think so much courage is needed for something like this, but anyway I'm the kind of person who says things just as they are (or at least as I can see them from my point of view), in the best way I can. If some people doens't like it, it's because they know it's just the truth and they can't deal with it.

Too bad that when I made a topic about this, admins said clearly that they will NEVER do that, so we'll just keep seeing that kind of noob topics.

Its good to know that someone feels strongly enough about this to write a whole essay on it
