On the server is play on, BeastsMC, I have an aggressive mob zoo, and petting zoo, and a soon to add Nether Zoo. With Endermen being released... with them teleporting and stuff... how will keeping them in a box work? Help a zoo owner!

Get one person to distract the Enderman while you build a cage of glass around them. Then let the Enderman devour the other person's soul while you enjoy your new addition to the zoo.
Like most other aggressive mobs, the Endermen probably won't be able to "see" you through glass. Make a glass cage, and you should be all set. Even if you accidentally stare at one, Notch probably won't let them lock onto players through glass.
Of course, there's always the problem of them moving blocks around...
"In other news, 3 visitors to the local zoo encountered an Enderman outside of its cage and were subsequently brutalized. Their families are sueing the zoo. More at eleven."

If missing a deadline makes you a bad person, then Notch must be Satan himself.

Beyond letting themselves out, they may also be able to free other mobs...
"A witness to the brutal attack had this to say about the incident: 'SsssssssssssssssBOOM'."
Then again, we don't know what the limitations on their moving blocks is. For all we know they can only move sand and dirt...
Fair point, but it's probably best to be safe. Their limitations will probably be the same as the piston's pushing limitations, so obsidian walls would likely keep them in.

Oh, good- so they wont be walking off with treasure chests...
if they only teleport a certain distance, if they are at the edge of the cage, the can still teleport out no matter how big the cage is. if the case is really thick, it might work.

I shoot my arrows in the air sometimes saying ay-oh, creeper's KO'd
Make an obsidian cage with 1x1 glass windows. And don't let anybody look straight at it lol. Nobody really knows how far endermen can teleport and what blocks they can move. I imagine their limitation of blocks would be the same as pistons, so yeah.
1. get one in the cage. even with hacked spawners
2. Make a seperate box of obsidian (most likely wont move it)
3. Add a glass cage on the inside
4. Make a chest with pumpkins in it to prevent staring
5. Make a 4x4 pillar in the middle of the cage, then make a trench surrounding it
Ehhh... Okay then... Maybe I should specify more... Our server has Creaturebox... And i'll give the endermen some sand to play with... and... the IP for the server is Beastsmc.hopto.org... if you wanna evaluate my zoo... Decide for yourself... uh yea...
Build a glass cage around him, and then build a large, spacy obsidian room surrounding the glass cage. Make a iron door with a button for safe measures. This way if he does move a glass block, he'll be safely quarantined inside and you can pay someone a diamond to kill it.
No one knows intill it comes out
