Maybe there should be 2 different bows. 1 bow that we have now that shoots fast but gives not too much damage, and one that you power up by holding down the mouse that could kill with just 1 shot.
I have a mouse that allows me to shoot over 9 arrows per second (rapid fire and no it is not an auto clicker). If this update comes i can't use it anymore. Maybe bobithans idea would be good.

u are obviously not seeing that if theres a charge bow, u just hold the mouse button to have the string go back and have the arrow shoot, it can still be like the regular bow, click[charge for like .20 secs] let go and just keep doing that, its exactly the same
Charge doesn't mean every shot. You can still fire it semi-auto. It just means if you hold down right-click it will do more damage and most likely fire farther.

A rapid fire bow is kinda pointless since there is an arrow damage cool-down, so it would actually be better to have a bow that you can charge during the cooldown.
First time I crafted a bow and tried it I was keeping the button pressed and then release it thinking it worked like it usually works in many other games to match real life bows. When I understood it was more like a machine gun I was quite pissed off, so I'm glad bows are going to behave like bows.
It'd be cool if this was extended to swords too, it'd add some tactics to combat: it's better to deliver many light blows or wait for a single powerful skull breaker? Add critical hits and a simple defense mechanic, and we'll have much more interesting PvP battles.

Yeah, because bows strings aren't meant to be pulled back. They're just decoration. /sarcasm
Also, notice the poll says "I want a boring real-type bow".
Honestly, when he says a charge bow, I'm thinking you can still fire fast, it's just that charging it will make it go farther and do more damage.
But if semi-automaticism is fixed, then don't complain. It was probably gonna be fixed in the long run.

You have to reload each arrow. That's a slow one.
i see a problem with that, with the c bow you prolly have to keep pulling it back to reload the bolt, it wouldnt be fast

Unless it is a repeating xbow, which should be made firing in a short burst of arrows then you will have to reload it in game.
