So heres my story.
I was mining on peaceful difficulty, two slimes where spawned. They were the small sized ones (not the tiny ones, the size up from the smallest). I had no clue that slimes of any size could be spawned on peaceful, so I checked out the wiki about it.
Accoding to what the wiki said:
"Tiny slimes will spawn in Peaceful difficulty level, but all other slime sizes above Tiny require Easy or higher difficulty levels. "
Interesting. Didn't know that before.
My only concern is that the two that spawned in my world weren't the tiny ones. They were the size up from that.
The mobs still could hurt me, which I thought was quite funny due to the fact that it was on peaceful.
I killed the two slimes for their slimeballs (going to make sticky pistons later :laugh.gif: ) and they both slipt into four. I told you this so you wouldn't get up in my grill about me being wrong and them actually being tiny ones. I know what I saw. They were small slimes, not tiny.
So, whats going on? Just a glitch on my behalf or did the wiki get it wrong?
Someone can just make a new 1.7 world, MCedit out a huge 272x272x126 empty area to bedrock, and then stand in the middle for a while and see if slimes spawn.

Well, I used a 2000x2000 bedrock map I downloaded awhile ago (forgot where, sorry). I found the seed, pasted it into Slime Finder and found which chunks would spawn slimes. Turned fly on and went up to survey on peaceful. Nothing spawned for several minutes. Changed difficulty to Easy. Slowly slimes spawned in a pattern consistent with what Slime Finder told me (something's dodgy with spawning...). Switched back to peaceful and slimes did not despawn. Went around killing them, and after running around for several minutes, no new slimes spawned.

Don't doubt the Wiki!
