Just wanted to know whether I am the only one who finds 128 meter limit too low.
There are a lot of buildings much higher then that in RL, also, because of that we can't have decent mountains.

Personally, I've only encountered the height limit by pillaring up to it and hitting my head. ;P
In any case, if you want a bigger building, you could mine down to bedrock level - that's another, what, 64 blocks? 1.5 times what you get from ground level. If you have the determination to build a 128 block tall, who-knows-how-many block wide building, I'd say you could mine that area down to bedrock. You'll get more material to use anyway. =D
(in short, I don't find the limit too low)
Many times have I wanted to wall off an area and have a "mountain" in the way. At first I thought it'd be awesome making the wall go over it, but because of the height limit it makes it difficult. Didn't Jeb say something about changing it yesterday?
If you new anything about this game you would vote "yes".
Notch said he wasnt going to raise the game height.
It would cause to much lagg and you would fall into the void if he did.
Do research b4 you post stupid ideas that have been suggested many times.

I have not suggested anything, I asked for opinions.
Also, with proper programming, it can be made. Think before making stupid posts.
Haters gonna hate. Figure out how to make it work programmers, please! I want to go to SPACE! lol, but seriously, more height would be great, running out of room when building up isn't cool.
The way I see it, the ceiling is a bit low. Last thing I want is to start building a floating base and run out of room. If the sky realm is acting like an extension of the surface then I'm definitely going to be happy when it's released.
With my luck the sky realms probably going to be another dimension like the nether, and I'll be stuck with the current ceiling. :dry.gif:
I recommend you read Notch's dev blog.
And im going to college for programming. So thank you.
I find it funny how confident and insulting you are while simultaneously being woefully uninformed.
"Height limit are being experimented with in terms of expansion, either by limiting the world in the x-z direction (to keep memory low) or by introducing dynamic chunks which would rebuild the chunk to a higher one if you broke the 128 limit."
Translation: Jeb said they are working to prove you wrong.

I like the former method. It's kind of awesome knowing that they're at the very least working on it. Most companies say that their creation is perfect, despite what the users say. Mojang = awesome.
While we're talking about the height limit, I think it would be good to also bring up clouds. Do you think they will make it so clouds don't appear inside walled off areas? I find it annoying so I made clouds a lot more translucent than normal so I could at least still see if a cloud popped up in my tower.

I think this picture sums it up.

You will be a poor programmer, I'm sorry for you:(
Terminal velocity is a good idea, because there is one in real life. It is something around 200 km/h for human falling in Earth atmosphere.
I just find it so funny that you're so quick to use offensive words and dismiss this idea entirely when you have no clue what you're talking about.
