Sup guys. Just came here to talk about how minecraft has gotten a bit boring in my eyes. Well, not really boring, just not the same. Most people now spend most of their time trying to get the best FPS, and graphics. And the constant updates cause a lot of CPU intensive work. I personally think tall grass was a stupid idea, it makes the worlds look clustered and weedy, and overall, pointless. How can you even get seeds anyway from grass? By hitting it? Well anyway I do not want this to turn into a rant, just saying notch, I liked it better when It was simple, stop adding game elements, just add crafts, like maps. That was amazing, but not adding more things that make worlds ugly and cpu intensive. Many players cant even run the game at 10 fps before, so why make it more graphically structured now? And the bugfixes just keep causing more bugs. Overall, minecraft has gotten worse for me. It was better when it was simple, to the point, and no lag. Thankz :biggrin.gif: - Sam. Please remember that this is only my opinion guys, no need to bash on me :smile.gif: leave a comment if you like.
"How can you even get seeds anyway from grass? By hitting it?"
And how is it possible to punch down a tree? or make floating structures?
Minecraft is full of stuff like that so don't be hating on the game because of that one little thing.
And think of it as mowing the lawn or something. It adds a sense of realism.
Honestly though, if you stop playing Minecraft for a couple of months and then fire it up again to check out the updates, you'll get a bit more mileage out of it. I played during Alpha 1.2ish, then I started again in Beta 1.4, and I'm thinking of taking another break pretty soon.
Yeah It can become tiresome with these useless updates but the game still is a fresh percpective with the amount of things you can do :tongue.gif: I just hope that this new adventure update will keep me entertained... also there are always mods XD
I've played minecraft on two computers without any lag, so I can't empathize with you there. It's not like minecraft has top notch (hah) graphics. Secondly, I like the tall grass, it adds more flavor and realism. Thirdly.. I love how this game always has updates. Fourthly, I lost track of time and am late for school. See what you did! lol :tongue.gif:
Are you on a multiplayer server? Sometimes, just go out and help with somebody else's project. It both gives you a little goodwill from the server, but also you get to see really different things from what you would personally do, and it might give you ideas of something to create yourself. Then, when you have your idea, ask the player you helped to maybe help you- friends are awesome to have on the game! Other people often add the spice in the end for me, I don't have so many mods, although the server has an awful lot of transportation mods since we're scattered all over creation on the world for all of our many bases. If that doesn't suit your fancy, watch some vids and try to create traps or secret passages that people haven't done before, or improve on existing ones. You can always learn something with redstone... there always seems to be something new going on with that. Although the reading is sometimes a bit difficult to concentrate on, the descriptions are decently good for you to learn from on the wiki, especially if you understand basic logic systems. In general I bet you haven't mastered EVERYTHING in the game... Just try something you've never tried before, and it opens up a grand new world of possibilities :happy.gif:
Good luck! It's always better when things are fun :smile.gif:
