I 4 1,dont want boosters,i mean,we got GOLZ TRACKZ,not like we have anything else to do with gold...
I, for one, support using this thing called grammar. Please don't butcher the english language. Thank you.
I also like the idea of giving golden minetracks an upgrade
I anti-sign. You know why? You have booster rails now. He didn't just remove the only viable way to travel fast in minecarts and laugh at you. Beside, there are still exploits to super boost to infinity and beyond. I would only sign if notch had just removed the bug and didn't give us a viable alternative.

So you say 1.4 is fail because you don't know how to update your server? WTF
Thats like saying all cars fail because you don't know how to put gas in them.
maybe people dont want to **** around with their minecraft.jar files?

note: Then I mention a group of people in my posts, i mean the majority of information i have seen from that group, and my statement may not be accurate for every individual in that group.
I guess since I don't even know what this bug is I don't care about it. I have quite a bit of track and I use booster tracks powered by redstone torches. Im happy to hear they will be faster means I can tear some of it out. I will admit is is a pain to have to mine gold to make the boosters but at least now I can get excited when I find gold unlike before beta 1.5
I also anti-sign, although I'm a bit sad that I just had to gutt my automatic minecart station, [that I put quite a bit of time into] I did find a way on youtube to make a legit version.
Notch already increased the speed of powered rails. I have no doubt that he'll make these work much better and more predictably than the glitch boosters, although perhaps at a lower speed.

You mean that file that can be backed up at any time by copying and pasting it, or gotten again for free if it gets screwed up and corrupted?
Add me to the people supporting their removal. I think our list has like 20 people and the list of people who like having broken things in games has 3.

What exactly are you talking about? Glitch boosters or power rails? Either way you are wrong.
When an error in a program causes an undesired effect it's called a bug. When it causes a good or neutral effect it's called a glitch.
However the perpetual style glitch boosters where pretty much unusable on a SMP server as it cause quite a bit of lag. single player however was fine.
I use the gold rails though they are less material intensive and creating a launcher is a snap. They might need to make another variant of the detector rail that detects occupied carts only. Like a booster glitched stone plate, this IMO is probably the only reason a player would not want glitch boosters removed. without it you couldn't make a lot of the intricate station functions. Like an empty cart catching system which utilizes stone and wood plates together. I don't know how to explain it but the cart station builders know what I'm trying to describe.
I get what you mean. I too would like two different detector rails just like we have two pressure plates. And to me all the new patch means is I get to tnt my current automated train station and then rebuild it to be even better than it was before.
Count me as number N+1 who's glad there's an official booster now, and the bug is fixed. This means that more experimentation can go on with the physics engine. Would you rather the bug be fixed now, on purpose, or would you rather it be fixed later, accidentally? That's what happens with unfixed bugs, other things that don't even seem related can change their behavior.

Hi, I'm a hipster and I love Notch fixing this awesome bug!!!
That was not serious, and I hope all people who actually like this fix aren't either. Or they are hipsters.
I liked minecarts better when they were underground. :wink.gif:

This forum ticked me off so much I went to random.org and set my password to something I'll never be able to remember, then switched my password reset to a throwaway.
thats because you pirated the game.
It's super effective!
Pointless thread has fainted!
This is why i love MC fourm's moderators
Gold doesn't have many other uses anyways. I would just like to use less gold to make them.
Like what you see? Give me some reputation

I agree. Two rails per gold would be nice :biggrin.gif:
pirates can use mods.

It'd take less time to add a mod to your .jar file then it would to sit here and complain about why they shouldn't be removed.
"Notch, we want this bug back!"
"Notch, we're too lazy to make booster rails!"
