It's like getting on a cruise ship, and them charging you to use the life raft when the ship starts sinking.
Did you just equate a life-or-death situation to a hobby involving coding? Because that would be hilarious.
Someone pointed it out before me.
It's more like if you made comics, and you liked making them, and the local newspaper said, "Hey, give us five bucks and we'll print it in our paper."
The difference in the situation being, you'd probably pay the paper weekly for it.
You'd pay Notch once.
And really, thinking about it-- it would be more like paying five bucks to have access to all of the resources used to make the paper, so you could put your comic in.
It's just the fact that you guys keep telling us all that Notch isn't working hard enough to make Minecraft a good game. SO WHAT!? If I were him, I wouldn't do so much anymore because I already had tons of money. We should be happy instead than keep whining about everything which isn't featured in Minecraft etc.
Just play the game. If you would really like Minecraft, you would enjoy the game as how it is and the updates would only be a little extra because we support Mojang.
I'm not a fanboy which is defending Mojang, I'm just telling some facts here which already have been told for ages.
We payed for the game, we gave them money, they should give us their full attention on our suggestions, seeing what WE THE PEOPLE like, rather than what they want and need.
