Herobrine is still not real, and I added an option to 1.5 to turn on occlusion culling. Most computers can handle it, and it helps a lot.
Still not real... Yet. But he doesn't deny that he might be true somewhere down the line. Does this mean Notch will be releasing herobrine in 1.6 or later? Or perhaps Minecraft Gold? Or maybe even DLC? o-o Discuss.
Well, if he was added in the game somewhere down the line, he would be rare as hell, eventually someone would be a victim, he would create a topic, and people would ridicule that person, eventually lots of people would get him, they would all create topics, eventually there would be a section just for him, and it wouldn't be as scary.
Plus, I doubt Notch's coding abilities are that good, I mean, he's awesome, but it would take A LOT of really good coding to create Herobrine.

Herobrine isn't real. Herobrine will never be real. Mojang hasn't even made a close to competent AI for WOLVES yet. What what make anyone think that they could make an AI that could not only create buildings (or blow them up, or whatever other people say), but could also stalk you and mess with you?
By the way, I'm not saying that Mojang is bad, I'm just saying that making a good AI is really hard.
I personally think they are keeping it a secret, Notch neither denies it nor agrees Herobrine is in the world. UGHHHH Herobrine gives me the creeps.
