my first was named alpha the next was named beta and the third was omega the next one was named after my dog and my 5th was steve then my 6th was notch i have there numbers on a paper telling me which is which
I hadn't named my first two wolves before they died. may they RIP.
But I have named my new wolf Silvest. It stems from a project I am gathering material for in hopes of recreating a city in a MMORPG I once played. It was the starting city for my first character in that game... though I have been thinking of altering it slightly by giving it stone walls. lol
So on my way to my project with my wolf following along I accidentally called him Silvest. It was then and there that I had finally come up with a name
My girl's name is Aberdeen! But, I call her Abers. :]
Well, there was one before her, but within three seconds, she got in the way of a pickaxe and got in a fight with a SMP friend... which led to her ultimate death. But I like to deny it and just say Abers 2 is the same wolfie. ;]
My first five all have names... the other six don't yet XD
The first, after my dog Kuma... The second two I tamed at the same time and I named them Toothless and Hiccup.... The next two are Elliot and Jasmine.
And then suddenly there were six more added to the pack haha and I wanna name them after the main characters from The Hangover. Cause the term "wolf pack" now reminds me of Zach Galifinakis in that movie, hehehe
but apparently wolves don't like you slaughtering cows and sheep cause he just randomly turned on me and I had to put him down.
Yea, I haven't named mine yet. I'm going to call them "Wolf" until they EARN a name. That way my best names don't get lost because of weird stuff happening.
I think my first one will be "Jeb" in honor of Jeb, the dude that coded them.
haha, no. yogcast might have mentioned wolfenstein, but "wolfenstein 3d" is one of the first 3d games to hit the PC. Download it and play. It's pretty fun. I like the reference xantexhunter used because minecraft reminds me of games like wolfenstien, doom, duke nukem 3d, etc.
minecraft is basically doom+counterstrike+3d without the heavy guns. we just mine and build stuff.

Wolfenstein
Wofenstein?! thats from the yogscas't wolve who killed simon hahahaa!
I think I will name mine 'Torch'.
I found the little guy RIGHT outside my house. So I tamed him with three of the bones in the pile I was carrying. I had him sit on the front lawn, as other 'security precautions' would have made it a little too dangerous for the little guy to follow me around.
Well, later on he disappeared, I can only assume he decided to go HEAD-TO-HEAD to see which was the more reliable security system: a live wolf or a moat of lava.
I'll name mine Gubby Richard Robbie I (GRR I) Gubby Richard Robbie II (GRR II) ect...
Unless you can think of a gender neutral name that starts with G, because weather it's a boy wolf or a girl wolf we cannot really determine, so gender neutral names are wise.

I just want to lure children into my cave with promises of candy so I can enslave them and put them to work in my underground mushroom farm.
But we all have one problem:
WHAT TO NAME OUR NEW CREATURES!!
Well, most of us have the problem of trying to find wolves, but set aside from that, this is our main problem.
Minecraft doesn't have the option to name tamed wolves, but that doesn't mean we can't call them something does it?
Post your wolfs' names:
so stop posting suggetions about them!!!
I call wolves in general wolfies. Sounds fitting for a pixelated wolf.
Cheers

I had a roommate that I lived with 2 years and he had a dog named Randall.
I call my pack "the Randalls."
