The game is not finished. The game will not be finished for a long while. Stop being a troll, and understand that the game is in BETA stages. Only recently advancing from ALPHA. The game is not done. Notch generously allows us to play his UNFINISHED work. Quit your bitching, and be grateful.
Yes, Notch is so generous to become a millionaire. It's so humble of him.
And I've the same background really, played since no sound in creative and now I want my money back.
I don't want my money back. I'd gladly pay mainstream retail price for this game and still love it. I just wish more people would realize how bad it is and try to make it better. One person asking notch to fix these problems won't solve anything. If we all ask maybe he will.
I am disappoint. Another one of these topics. Great.
Helps if you read before making a judgemental post.
I've read this. And the other topics like it.
It's a bit refreshing to see that not everyone is completely blind enough to worship the ground that Notch walks on, but that doesn't overpower the annoyance at seeing a hundred topics about the same thing.

Fair enough, then again perhaps it's my seemingly unique problem of minecraft crashing literally every four or so minutes that has driven me to such extremes. It's difficult to put up with both this and the antics of Mojang.

Maybe everyone feels the same way and nothing is being done about it.

If there are so many people making "another one of these topics" that it's considered spam, isn't that a good indication that enough of the community thinks there's something wrong to merit this discussion?
I know notch doesn't read these forums. It's pretty obvious that he doesn't. I'm trying to tell you, the community, that you are the ones who need to do something because Notch isn't listening and we paid him money. He doesn't need a break, this is his job now. He may not have realized that he was undertaking such a large venture, but he has spread his stroke of genius in exchange for money and has formed a company for the purpose of continuing to develop this game. He really has no excuse at this point.

You're preaching to the quire, brother. I understand you. But what you need to understand, is that people who are of your point of view, and are willing to do something, have already done it. Everyone else either doesn't care, or believe the game has no faults.
Oh while I'm thinking about it. Boats. Boats are serverside controlled. I think we have all experienced what this means. It's unplayable, it pretty much removes the purpose for having boats and I even tweeted Notch saying implement them the same way players are (Don't simulate until you receive a message from the client) and he tweeted me saying he was afraid to do that, as if it could be exploited (Which it really can't)

Sorry man. It just seemed like you were trolling and I'm glad your not. I just think if it's still broken why stop trying to fix it?

If we can try to keep this thread flame-free, we will at least have a place to discuss our grievances in a single location. The reason there are so many of these threads is that they always delve into flamewars when the other side takes issue.
So, in the spirit of discussion:
For me, the biggest problem is how Minecraft has so much wasted potential. I know what Minecraft can be, because I've seen it done by so many modders. But without a goal, it seems like it's stagnating. Updates seem rushed even though they have so much time to work on them. Jeb's input has really helped things lately, but so many bugs are ignored in an effort to shoehorn the updates in.
And while, yes the game is listed in beta, the fact is that beta is where bugs are generally fixed. And rather than fixing the bugs, some of the biggest ones are ignored. So, people screaming "BETA" at the top of their capslock really miss the fact that if they're not fixing the bugs during beta, they're not progressing the game. If beta is where bugs are fixed, fix the bugs.
I'll totally, and completely, agree with you here. I have no idea why the move to Beta was even necessary, when new content is constantly (per update; not constantly, as in quickly) being added.
Best quote ever.

Obviously, not everyone does. And this topic won't do anything, other than annoy people.
Notch. Doesn't. Read. These. Forums.
Someone should link this to his twitter.
Get him to read it.
Hmm...
Or maybe a lot of people.
You should fix that. :tongue.gif:
I tweeted Notch with this topic, by the way.
aaaa Maybe you shouldn't quote it then haha
You should still fix it. XD I didn't suggest the tweet.

That's my main reason for being disgruntled.
