Hey, so I'm a fairly new Minecraft player. I'm just now interested in starting to branch out and test the waters of modding and texurising my game. Not that I don't love the game the way it is, I just want to see what the community has to offer the game.
So, everyone: What are your favourite textures/mods and why?
Right now, I'm not rly interested in mods that make the game easier to play. I'm looking at things like creature mods, but I still want to get everyone's input!
I haven't really messed with mods since they require way too much patience for me, but I have found a few texture packs that I switch between when I want!

Thank you both! :biggrin.gif: I've tried Misa's, but it's lagged my game. Trying to figure out how to make it not lag right now. Loving the steam punk one, as well.
@Derp: So, you can't mod multiplayer to include certain mods? I was eyeballing the Mo'Creatures pack for my private server.

Nice detailed pack that makes everything look better whether you like the theme or not. (32x32 HD)

I loved the art style in Windwaker and this pack is highly reminiscent of it and just looks beautiful otherwise.
Be warned that any texture packs higher than 16x16 resolution need to be patched in with Xau's MCpatcher program found here - viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=46173&hilit=mcpatcher
But quite a few 16x16 texture packs have custom water/lava that make the world look a bit better, and can only be activated by patching them in.
