Since Soloman hasn't been on, I went to a local mosque and asked some people there. Here's what we figure:
If the butchers insist on making me deal in haraam stuff, I should probably just give them a miss. Blacksmiths like my coal just fine. And yes, animals slaughtered for food must be killed by an actual sword strike.
Food mustn't be wasted, but that doesn't mean "must be eaten". Breaking it down for essentia is fine. Rotten flesh doesn't qualify as food, so do whatever with it.
I should wait until I have runic shields to do infusion enchanting, since then the blowback doesn't touch my actual health. Warp is a complete no-no, since even a little of something ultimately harmful is forbidden in Islam.
The Kaaba is simply made out of local stone (black volcanic rock, according to the guy I talked to), so I should just use native material: Stone or Stone Brick in most biomes, Sandstone in deserts, Hardened Clay in mesas, etc. The Black Stone is sacred because it came from Heaven with Adam, so it would actually be most logical to represent it with a Bonus Chest!
My conclusions on Thaumcraft were about right: thaumaturgy = high-energy tech, golems = robots, no Infernal Furnace or warp, etc.
Now I can properly start my ROI world. (Edit: when I find a decent calendar mod, because I've been known to miss whole days in other dimensions.)

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!
Never heard of anyone following rules of a religion in a game. But thats good to know if someone believe in any religion he follows it even in virtual world. You should have been very much dedicated to islam and have read many islamic books. If you follow rules of islam in game it is even better that you never compromise with your religion. It sounds quite interesting as well as weird but its a good choice.Respect for that.

Me, I'm doing it as a sensitivity experiment, to get a bit of a sense of what it's like to follow this or other religions. In RL I'm agnostic.
