"He doesn't like the tool I like! He must totally suck!"

This forum ticked me off so much I went to random.org and set my password to something I'll never be able to remember, then switched my password reset to a throwaway.
It's basically saying "this tool sucks and is evil and is horrible because I am retarded and do not know, or want to know, how to use it properly".
Nothing wrong with switching to another software package if someone knows it better. I'd have chosen SVN over git as well just because I've used SVN a bit in the past.

Playing games with integrated graphics is like going on the Autobahn in a tricycle.
I've used Git and SVN and I'd choose Git over SVN any day. Compared to Git, SVN is extremely limiting and difficult to adapt to various development models. Git is very flexible and has a more reasonable, fairly easy to understand repository model. It does take a little bit more thinking, but anyone who can write software ought to be smart enough to be able to figure out Git. It's not that hard. It's sad that Notch gave up after his first mess-up.
From his blog:

Who in their right minds would switch from Git to SVN? Seriously?

Great idea, terrible developer.
Notch should do what he does best, and that only: game designing.
Don't touch the code. Leave that to jeb, he seems to be more promising than Notch is.
Oh, and here's some proof that one should always wait for the _01 release:
