Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Theevilpplz is so fabulous, hetrosexual men turn bi when he passes by.
It's only just 8am there. Look at his twitter, he's going to be posting updates through the day. I suspect it'll still be some amount of hours before we see beta.

There is not guaranteed release date just "sometime today, the 20th of December". Bottom line is, when it's out it will be out and you will know, as you will be playing it.
I would like to take this moment to remind you that the Earth is round. Because of this, the sun is currently visible at different altitudes of the sky, depending you your longitudinal location on the Earth.
In order for this to make sense, we mighty Humans have developed this thing called 'Time Zones', wherein it is a different time, hourly, depending on where you are in a longitudinal relationship to the poles.
Also, because of this, we had to implement an 'International Date Line', over the Pacific Ocean. Because of this, it is entirely possible for you to be in the evening on Sunday in the United States, while it is the afternoon on Monday in Australia.
In other words, as of the time of me writing this post, it is currently 9:18 AM on Monday my time, 2:18 AM on Tuesday in Sydney, and 5:18 PM in Stockholm (Notch's Time) on Monday. Since Notch is the game's programmer, for Minecraft, we have to go by the clocks in his Time Zone.
tl;dr: Stop being an annoying little kid who does not realize the Earth is round. The game will be updated when Notch is ready to update it. Not before then.

So it will most likely be today, unless something comes up.
