I was wondering because I wanted to install Minecraft onto my thumb drive so that I could carry the game and my saves to my computer classes while I wait to get my laptop. If anyone knows if it's at all possible, please let me know. Thanks
personally, I have no idea how MineCraft installs itself, as there is no directory folder. what it appears to be to me is that everything is contained the the one minecraft.exe file, so supposedly you should be able to just move that one file onto the thumb drive and it would still have all the save files and everything. If that doesn't work, then try putting the installation file on the thumb drive and try running it for the first time while on that drive. but once again, the distribution of minecraft's directory files, if it has any, is beyond me.
