I own the game and play it at home on my pc, but I'd like to play it on the macs at my school to show my friends. I tried just downloading the app at school, but it wont let me login to the server, so I can't update the app.
If one of the Mac users could give me a copy of their Minecraft.app I would appreciate it. I'll play an SMP game to prove I'm a premium user.
I'm betting the school has directories write protected and you wouldn't be able to get the files where they need to go for you to play it unless you built a directory structure similar to a Mac on your flash drive (or, if nerdy enough actually make your flash drive compatible with Mac computers) and move the files where they need to go, download the app and you're good. If you really think it through you'll be able to set everything up and show them AND even have a mobile copy of Minecraft to play.

Because you have to run the app online to update the files, and I can't run the app on my PC, and can't connect at school.
But I also want to play the game at school.
