I think this is going to be one of those days. I’ll go around with a serene look on my face, taking slightly too long to reply when people talk to me, and answer simple questions with vaguenessess like “technically”, and “define ‘eat dinner’”.
unforunately, you can carry that on to the conclusion that nothing really exists
As I once did. I've since arrived at the same conclusion from several other directions.
Reality turned into a scary place until I decided that "existing" is a pointless distinction except when used in relation to something else.
IE, I can say that my computer exists in relation to me, and I can say that the Mad Hatter exists within the dream (or was it!?) that Alice had. The dream itself exists relative to Alice. The story about Alice exists relative to me, but Alice herself, her dream, or the Mad Hatter, doesn't. (In fact, the Mad Hatter is twice removed.)
The Mad Hatter would certainly strongly proclaim that he exists, and so would Alice, and so do I.
Cogito ergo sum? That's just pointless.
Aaaanyway, I'll go back to programming now. :biggrin.gif:
^ Which begs the obvious question... DOES Minecraft exist?
EDIT: Trips into questioning existentialism are great. It's what I imagine smoking illegal drugs would be like. You're never certain of anything as long as it goes on, and in the confusion, I found it fun and meaningful. Been there, experienced strange things.

Minecraft does exist, and playing it feels like smoking illegal drugs, too. :biggrin.gif: I'm certain of that.
A recent TIGSource post by Notch, same day as the blog post

You heard that, green and red.
