Well we all know that the creeper has become somewhat of an iconic enemy for Minecraft. The sound too has become somewhat infused (pun) with it's persona too, but then I've seen a problem with this. Notch hasn't added the real sounds he wants for everything yet. Most of the stuff are stock sounds. Literally because the creeper explodes, Notch used a stock sound for a fuse.
What I wonder is, what happens when Notch changes the stock sounds he has? Should Notch keep the creepers stock sound official, or make a more polished "sssssssssss" sound? It's all very silly in a way, I also wonder if Notch ever thought a common fuse sound would become the popular idea of what makes up a creeper.
For me, sound has never worked for anything other than creative mode, so I have yet to hear the iconic "sssssss." It also means that I don't even get a warning before I explode.
I vote he keeps the SSSSSSSS we have now, and adds distorted oink noises. Creepers are half pig after all.
