"From beta and on, you will need to buy the game to be able to play multiplayer. Single player will have a limited free version."
Quote from Notch's most recent blog post. I thought that Multiplayer would still be accessible to free users, but it would be creative mode only. Either way, if it stays like this, it may eliminate a lot of griefing, which I am happy for.
I hope he makes it completely reserved to the people who bought the game, except for a very limited demo mode (maybe single player creative with no save, like the older versions used to be). We paid money, and we need to actually see some benefits...
I think this would be the worst direction minecraft could go to (correct english :/?). It got the awards for being a free sandbox game which is high-moddable. What will it be? Gnar.
Minecraft should not be commercialized this way.

We BOUGHT the game, so if youll let me make a refrence,
On xbox if you buy games you get all the features, But demos for People who HAVEN'T bought the game have less features
Also, Buy the game if your so mad?
If you would of taken 3 seconds to read an entire line of text you would have seen I have bought the game. In my opinion people being able to play multiplayer creative would bring in more purchases than a demo of single player. The reasoning of this is that more people have of a game the more they want it. Again this is an opinon at a purly buisness stand point for Notch.
Also there's a quote button instead of using an "^".
Yeah. The game is NOT expensive, and obviously if you care about it enough to sit here and whine about it, then you care about it enough to pay for it. End of story.
The bottom line is Notch needs to make a profit, and we paid, so we need our benefits.
I mean honestly, I was literally the 6th person to pay, and still everything is open to everyone (except indev, which only half-counts since you can't save)

Moddable? This is closed source game, are you confusing infiniminer here?
Awards, I've not heard of AWARDS, I've heard of notability, mentions and publications but not any awards.
