I have to say Minecraft is one of the most addicting games I've ever played.
Single Player rules, and Multiplayer is fun.
But, this is where I felt the grief at.
Not from my creations being destroyed in front of my eyes, but from being treated the same on most servers.
Being kicked, being banned, being treated like crap.
Look at my username.
It seems like a normal username, right?
It's a "griefing username" in their eyes.
It causes me pain when I'm treated roughly because of my choice of username.
Think about it, being kicked and banned merely because your username is too confusing.
Of course, over the months, I have made friends like timmeh_t102, moomoomilk, jorgen103, Fontpeg, Deoxim, YCO, Absolute_Zero, and Baca. Those are the people who accept me, regardless of my name. They are the people who trust me. And I trust them. When I'm upset, I can talk to them. When I'm kicked or banned unfairly, I can talk to them.
Needless to say, I have seen griefer attacks countless times.
But the grief I feel nearly daily outweighs the grief I feel when I'm attacked by griefers.
I can backup my server's maps.
I can rebuild my creations.
I can ban griefers.
I can kick griefers.
But I can't give the grief I feel when I'm treated unfairly back.
Well if you join my server, and your name looks like a greifing name, but you're a premium... I won't ban you.
I met you before, so I shouldn't think you wouldn't get banned by me. Depends, premiums do greif sometimes...
I also heard that you wanted your name to be Sergio, but then you made it all with crappy numbers no one will type again and again... am I right?
It's my universal name xD
Anywhere you'll see me, my username will be s3r9i032123, with only a couple of exceptions.
He means the name is done in l337 language with those numbers added to the back.
And honestly... I would likely stalk you like crazy if you went on a server I moderated. It's a difficult to type name, a name perfect for squeezing a few extra seconds of griefing in. I understand that you use the name for your normal useage, but understand the culture of Minecraft.
Still, bans and kicks should be restricted for when a visual grief confirmation is done. Otherwise it's just justified paranoia.
It looks like a griefing name. You have no reason to complain about the fact that your choice of name looks like it's trying to inconvenience admins by them having to type numbers and letters (even though a smart OP knows the name selection method).
It's honestly a terrible choice of username anyway, looks like you have the intelligence of a 10 year old trying to be cool speaking in 1337.
the problem isnt you, its your choice in names. it being difficult to type, a name like that us usually ment to hinder a moderators sucsess of quickly banning the owner of the account, and thus, those people grief.

Give me an internet, or Chuck Norris will kill you!!!
A reason why is that griefers or hackers in many games dont care about their names, they just want to quickly make a character and ruin your fun so they dont take time deciding a name they just get random names and smash the keyboard to get their name.
A normal person takes their time deciding their name and carefully chooses it. In your case you've decided to use that but your choice is often chosen by hackers and or griefers.
It's my universal name xD
Anywhere you'll see me, my username will be s3r9i032123, with only a couple of exceptions.3
I understand why you would want a universal name, but did you make that name when you were 10? You could at least have removed the leetspeak.
I'll remember your name if you come to a server I op in. You seem like an okay person.
To be honest, you aren't too close from the truth.
I can't remember when exactly, but yeah, around when I was 10.
@Pontus:.....My last name isn't Esise or Ezize or whatever.
And I don't plan on adding that to my username in the first place.
It'll be something like Apollo or just plain Sergio or something.
Not to jump on the name hate train here, but seriously, with a name like that you should expect this. When I first saw your name here, I thought it was another spambot. I suggest you choose a name that doesn't sound like something a preteen script kiddie came up with as soon as possible, so the transition will be over with quicker on other places you frequent.
As for your Minecraft name, try emailing Notch to see if you can get it changed. As for the forums here, maybe ask citricsquid or ez.
I emailed Notch, and I'm waiting for my friend to give me the transaction ID so I can confirm the purchase of the game and get my premium status transferred to my new account:Ether.
If I would have known how Minecraft worked, I would not have used s3r9i032123 :/
But then again, I'm not using it as much.
I'm wither using that, Sergio, Nekochan, or s3r9i0 on other places now, as I've gotten fussed about my choice of a name elsewhere.
But I'll talk to an admin about getting my forum name changed.
But, before that, I owe my friend a call.
