I don't think people should use this list, it has no proof so it isn't credible, I'm pretty sure half of these are just people trying to get people they don't like banned.

Yeah, I recommended on the wiki and I think I've posted in here also that this list shouldn't ever be copy + pasted into banned.txt, it would work much better as a reference point for reported users.
also, I can vouch for human not being a griefer, he's a cool fellow!
Except permissions would be like, teasing someone, letting them see what people have done but not add too, or modify it. Which would probably make more griefers.
Hey, I've been playing and noticed that I've been banned on servers I've never even played on, I figured I'd go on the forums to see if this is a bug. Turns out its not and it's just a big ol list of griefers that people use to ban. I have NO idea why I'm on this list. I've been playing this game since before multiplayer and I've never griefed any server. Can I get taken off this list?
Hi guys,
I've updated the original post, I didn't want to have to be quite a few of players are being blacklisted when they're legitimate trustworthy players, sorry :|
To be honest the idea itself was stupid and should never have been used, it always happens with 'master banlists', you unless it's 'screenshot only' then a bunch of people will run over and go 'BAN X LAWL' because they don't like X, and then it ends up in a ton of people getting banned from every server and yadda yadda.
I have the file saved if you wish to use it somewhere else, but I cannot advocate it being used here or on the wiki as it promotes incorrect banning. If you want the file I can upload it for you: http://pastebin.ca/1484981
I'm curious... a server can easily become quite full, especially with people building big structures.
Griefing is classified as someone destroying something someone else built. But, isn't the entire concept of minecraft to build something that isn't permanent?
I mean, sure it's obvious when someone just randomly destroys stuff that they're out to grief, but what if you're building something, need a bit more space, and there is some wierd thing that has no clear concept at all, that nobody is working on, next to your structure, in the way?
I don't know about others, but I would ask an OP if I could have permission to remove it since no one has ever used it.

Griefing is purposefully annoying other users by destroying while they're building. For example if I join a server and walk over to someones castle and then start destroying it I am a griefer, if however I was building my own castle and I ended up in the path of their castle it would be reasonable for me to delete it unless someone specifically asked me not to.
Obviously some server OPs deem any deletion as griefing but they're moving away from the actual definition.
munther came into my place and immendently started just holding down the button to delete and destroyed everything so I had to reset/restrart my server.
BUT, if my server gets too full, I save it, and reset the entire thing. On AVM Custom Flatland, city was completed and the whole server was full, so I made AVM Custom Ocean.
what if people on the list got a tick by their name in game? that way people would know who to watch out for, but every one would still be able to access the servers?also, a different ban type for greifers, like /gban or something. only people banned with THAT command would get put on the list, and then get the tick by their name. just spouting ideas here, haha...
not sure if they are still around, but back when Goldendeeds deticated was up, me and my brother ran into two griefers that are the type that build up trust, then, when they know they are not being watched, destroyed a building that an op made(pretty dumb, but then most griefers are...).
their names were as follows:
Reptar
he was extremely nice, but also very dumb, me and my brother watched him grief our mansion we made, and he saw us, yet still continued to grief, even though he knew we were both ops...
cokezero
pretty much same situation as reptar, except it was zeik's building (i think that was how u spelled zeik's name, if that was his name...).
funniest part was wen he started helping to fix it, then destroyed it again lol
Human is a bit of an angry fellow, but he's not a griefer.

Thank you! Removed Human.
