Even if someone did that, it would help the people still... :sleep.gif:
And no, I only sometimes look it up, and even provided the links like 3 times.
Good for you man. I didn't say anything was wrong. Merely that you are misrepresenting yourself as a know-all when you are actually just a conduit for easily available facts.
There is a a hard end to the minecraft world, in fact that very article explicitly says it. I think it is around 32 million chunks or blocks in length, I keep forgetting though.
Infinite implies it is well infinite. As in you can type in the number for googolplex and still be nowhere near the end of the world, in fact in comparison to infinity you haven't moved an inch, or an atom as a matter of fact.
It is called "infinite" because it seems infinite, when in reality it is just a very vast super earth sized world that takes light 2 minutes to cross.
Just wanted to point that out.

One day, there will be someone who looks at my signature and wonders "who gives a damn?"

As said earlier in this thread, minecraft CODE is infinite, meaning that the code will never stop generating new terrain. Now no computer is powerful enough to actually have anything be infinite, this can be seen in the fact that we still don't know an end to pi.
So your or anyone else's minecraft world won't be infinite, but the code creating the world will be.
Random question, but I Know the answer to that one!
"Steve" was the name of one variant of the now disused human mobs. They were originally in-game as a test during the Indev phase. At that point, it had been stated that the player avatar would look like Steve in future, albeit with a miner hat and a different skin.
Steve was made by "Dock", Minecraft's past artist, as were the similar looking Rana, Black Steve and Beast Boy. All four of them were scrapped when Dock left the development team. The player model will remain the same as the Human NPC.
Quite a lot of that information is wrong. The human mobs were being used before Indev, they were released in the "Pre 0.0.9a" update and removed in the "0.0.23a_01" update. Steve was not made by Dock. Steve was originally used in a game called "Zombie Town" that was being made by Notch. Wait, wait, wait, are you looking from the wiki and extern resources? Because I can do that stuff too..
Sure you can, but would you be able to spend much of your valuable time to help others by doing that and answering questions at the same time? He's certainly helping people who are somehow and unfortunately unable to access certain sites for information through the power of answers and questions. Wonderful!
EDIT: Plus he states he's bored, so that's probably why the thread is still living, and he's doing a good job at what he is doing! :tongue.gif:
