Some people who haven't paid for minecraft may have noticed no sound when turn sound on in options menu.
When minecraft.net was changed when 1.8 came out www.minecraft.net/resources was taken out. Even with the level saving. This is because classic is way to outdated for sound/music and level saving or mojang just forgot to put www.minecraft.net/resources and level saving in the site. level saving was in a listmaps.jsp?user=username
but idk never saw that part of the site.
Its possible to download classic by looking into the html code and then add your own resource path, im gonna try that. I tried doing the same thing a while ago, however i was getting a black screen but i know what i did wrong.
online saving for unpaid users has been removed to prevent the site from filling up with save files too quickly, you can still save locally though, im sure of that
I can't seem to get it to save to my PC HDD. The .mine doesn't seem to save. Is there a fix for that or somthing!
Yea everyone has this problem. Classic runs on the website. Its either mojang deleted it for testing purposes or its because classic is outdated. But the sound patch was made. I am happy about the sound patch. But I am still seeing whether someone made a saving patch. Which I doubt anyone made.
Minecrafter since 0.0.19a:
In september 2010 ( i think ) Website crashed, Had a huge overhaul, Deleted the sound in classic (www.minecraft.net/resources/ i think?) And i saved a .mine level before in classic, i think that abillity is removed, even when logged in. And besides, Classic is not for your everyday use, Its for being creative when your bored of survival or getting a little taste of what minecraft is like before you buy it
Question 1: Do you have a minecraft account?
Question 2: What browser do you use? im no browser expert but that could be the case, i could be wrong.
Question 3: What os do you use?
Most important is question 1, Because you cant save minecraft levels without an account, The button will just be grayed out.

Using Windows 7 64-bit.
I have a paid account.
I used Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer to get sound working. It had nothing.
Thats when I found out these problems when mojang deleted the www.minecraft.net/resources and www.minecraft.net/listmaps.jsp?user=username. We are trying to find if someone made a Patched Classic version for us. I have recently found a program called MCCP (Minecraft Classic Coder Pack). Idk but the guy speaks another language. But the MCCP is fully english in the .bat files. If someone has the guts to decompile this thing I would be happy. My comptuer doesn't support the unzip.exe file. And translate using Google Translate on readme.txt file and other .txt files. http://sourceforge.net/projects/mccp/files/
I can't get the sound patch to work. I installed the class in the correct place (com/mojang/minecraft/c.class), and deleted META-INF. After doing that, Classic no longer loads?

A friend of mine on minecraft had this same problem. But use WOM instead if this happens.

This is just a notice. Nothing serious.
You cant save in classic. Look at where this topic is. You are mixed with the latest version of minecraft.
EDIT: I know classic isn't updated anymore I ain't dumb. Its because www.minecraft.net/resources was taken out. Classic's sound was pointed there. So its nothing to do with the game. Its the www.minecraft.net/resources not working causing this. Also www.minecraft.net/listmaps.jsp?user=user was taken out when the site was changed.
Someone already did this: 500 Internal Server Error
Check the thread he posted here: http://www.minecraft...ken-in-classic/
It shows his username on bottom of topic.
This is only sound patch!
It might be Java 7. It is buggy with web applets.
Use Java 6. Or if its happening on Java 6 do it on Java 7.
Unfortunately he doesn't have a fix for the saving issue; only sound.
You can not save locally
I tried Fiddler. Like the Indev fiddler hack it requires a class file to aim for www.minecraft.net/resources through fiddler.

He said he is fixing decompiler. It will be long time I guess till he fixes it.
Someone will come up with a patch later in the year. I think. But idk.
Anybody found a saving fix?
