As long as you don't distribute it, that's fine. Just please don't post anymore pics of it (here or anyhwere), since it's really not yours to be updating. It does look nice, even though it's not complete.

I'm not changing it at all, just using it as a testbed. Plus, I can't fit the entire thing into an Alpha level, it's just too tall.
Thanks guys! I'm a "big-project" person, so it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility that I'll attempt something this size when the game is gold. But not yet....there's still too much that is going to be added to the final game. Maybe when the beta starts......?
And definately not by myself. The amount of materials needed to do something like this is....ludicrous.:biggrin.gif:
So, will you be making a newew, better Shadowmarch someday? I thought you said this isn't the full-size version. And will it be on Creative or, God forbid, SMP? :smile.gif:
It's too early to say how it'll be ported over. Assuming Notch increases the map height, it'll definately be ported to Creative, and once that's done I'll look at refitting it for SMP.
The thing is that this version not only has an unfinished underground, but it's also only as current as the second book, Shadowplay. Shadowrise introduced a lot of new elements I need to account for, and Shadowheart won't even be out until November.
It's the inherrant problem of doing a recreation of a series-in-progress.

Sorto f like trying to create Hogwarts just after Book 5? :|
Unlikely as they change what it looks like every movie. >.>
Seems to always have a similar concept. It's on a rather rocky island surrounded by a placid lake. There is a very shaky, twisty, old looking bridge connecting it to the mainland, although you can also take a boat.... Therei s a main entrance with a big-ish clock tower, seen since the third movie, iirc. There's the great hall, and beside it is a gigantic tower. There's a bunch of other towers, and dungeons. Lotsa secret rooms. Some other stuff. :| I haven't seen any of the last few movies, though.
I can't play it:(
It says 'Loading Level Reading' for a bit, then generates a random map.
same with me :sad.gif:
It means its too AWESOME (big) for your computer, close all applications and try again. And on the subject, whos your favourite character LWK? (I'm talking about in the first book, Shadowmarch)
Yes, this map is a hog, so if your computer can't handle it than there's nothing I can do. Frost's suggestions are good ones.
Ferras Vansen, hands down. He's probably most like myself in real life, and I can empathize with a lot of what he goes through. That doesn't change thoughout the series, either.

I'm torn between Vansen and Briony, Vansen because he's like me (does that mean I'm like you...?) and Briony becuase shes got a strong personality, and doesn't care what people think of her. Also, on a totaly unrelated note, this is my 1000 post!
I wish I had a .lvl or just a .dat I could convert of this so I could load it up on my MCSharp server, I want to explore it with World of Minecraft client because the browser doesn't allow enough ram usage. My computer has enough power definitely to handle it, but my slow internet ruins it.
Well as I've said, I can't stop you from saving the map for yourself, just as long as you don't redistribute it in any way (which is against the forum rules anyways).
It's beautiful, much better to actually walk around, rather than just look at an image of it.
