I made an amazing Modern nature-friendly house for the new Minecraft 1.3.1 update! It has an amazing entrance and the inside looks amazing as well. The house is on a side of a mountain and is powered by water! (Pretend it is, it is really impossible to power by water) Some screenshots of the house and the entrance are down below!
Hm, well, I hate to make you feel bad or anything, I'm new to this forum thingy, ive been on it for downloads and stuff but this is my first actual post so don't get mad
anyway, i think you need to add more detail into the entire building, like situating more slabs and stairs into the walls, that would be great. another thing....get another texture pack painterly is pretty good, may take like, half an hour to get it but its kinda worth it.
and miwojedk is right, if its going ot be nature friendly, add a retarded tree, maybe some big ones outside and mini ones inside.
and @ jib777 thats cool, im working on an adventure map
this is a great start, sorry for this being super long, hope you read ti anyway
I'm updating the house right now with just what you wanted me to change! I'm adding trees and more texture to the house. Expect it to be done either today or tomorrow.
Well when I first made the house it was about 4 hours to complete it. Then I updated it and to update it took about half an hour for trees, a new roof, and more textured walls.
2. i may sound like the woman on the commercial but dont say that. just becuase something is stupid (which this is not) does not mean it is gay. if you dont know what gay really means ill be glad to tell you but you sould not say that. It is mean and hateful!

I own a comunity. It has games, chatrooms, blogs, art gallery, and more. Check it out. www.ScribbleHub.com
gunwolf, if you wanna see gay, lets post your maps on the forums
Okay, okay, let's not start anything here.
Also, don't put "Amazing", "Epic", or "Awesome" in the title. Just a note
Anyway...
I do like the waterfall powering concept of the house. I rarely see it done, and I rarely see it done well either. Nice job on that!
In my opinion, cobblestone is ugly. I like where you have it with the fireplace, but the outdoor floor should be made of a different material.
I like your taste in décor for the inside of you house. It's more on the withdrawn side, which is better than the "howmuchstuffcanifitinhere" side.
Diamond and Gold should always be used in moderation, and you did that. You could even use less gold/diamond if you wanted, because it can be an eyesore when too much is used (again, you did well with it, but other people are picky).
Finally, I like the iron framing in the house. White wool wouldn't look good, and neither would snow. The iron keeps the modern feel, and the stone brick accents that.
Although: texture pack? It's just an idea, and it could bring your build "to life", so to speak. For modern housing, I'd recommend:
SoartexFanver (updated for 1.3, no customizer yet)
Adriorn's Basico (updated for 1.3)
High Rossferry City (hold off, still on 1.2.5)
LEDCraft (1.3, I think)
You could also google "Modern Texture Packs 1.3" and see what comes up
I hate when forum newbies gang up on people with a different opinion than them...it's so immature and shows that you've never been a forum member in your life ever. And implies that you're under 13.
OT: It's not bad, needs some improvement - avoid squares! Modern houses are about integrating squares into the design, but not about making the whole thing square. Plan out the interior more, and focus on a clean look. Lots of paintings are pretty in a classical or contemporary design, but only in moderation and not really in modern houses. The waterfalls should be shorter - keep in mind that your walls are over ten feet tall, and the waterfalls then are at least 8. However, you show lots of potential as a good builder, because you seem to have a good idea of how textures interact and create a feeling. Good luck on your quest!
pretty cool though is you need more ideas Google search Minecraft Modern House ideas and find a cool house and either make it yourself or base a house on that house
