Hello, I am currently building a town off from an NPC village in Minecraft, but i need some ideas for some buildings inside the town. I already have a Prison and a General Store, I am currently making an Inn.
Post some suggestions in the comments please.
Oh, and its not a very modern town, its more Medieval-like, something to match the Minecraft Villages.
To me, it would be like 60-70% residential plots (to add diversity, you could separate it into two types, low and high density tenants), then the rest would be public services like the town smelter, town hall, a barracks (as a sign of power), if you want a wall you could build one too, a wizard tower, schools, a bakery, fishing "village", a market square, a church (most important [to me]), watch towers, a fountain (or any place where people of the town could meetup), a library, an inn, a tavern, a sawmill, a farm, fenced pastures, a wide land full of crop (irrigated) and if you want to go all out you could also build a brothel!
lots of houses
torch shack (free torches)
big walls with automated redstone gates
a fighters, mages and thieves guild
teleporter to "The Hub"
and horse .....place/yard
I have a Xbox 360 map with a city where I have tested some ideas. I have docks, stables, a railway, an art museum, post office, pub, Redstone shop, dye shop, food shop, iron store, wood shop, mine, science lab (testing potions), embassy for other cities, potion shop, and a lot of farms and houses. Some of the bigger things are a coliseum, castle with church, navy simulation training, and a capital building with a bank below.
