A My Little Pony Project
FALLOUT: EQUESTRIA Last Update: July 20 Notice: Right now, we really need someone good at interior building. We have a few massive structures in need of innards! Edit: Thanks for all the support we've gotten! Haven't been able to get back to every PM and comment due to some computer issues taking up a lot of time. Also want to say thanks to a few of you on steam dropping by some encouragement. We appreciate them, we really do.
So, currently, a small group of friends and I have just started to go ahead and attempt a massive large scale project. We've decided that A ) it had to involve ponies and B ) took place in a post apocalyptic city. So, what better theme to pick then Fallout: Equestria?
However, by a small group of friends and I, I pretty much mean "3 people overall". While we have a few extra hands occasionally popping in to help, there's still just... three of us. And a lot of chunks to fill with cities. So yeah. We could use some help.
As a clarification, this is a Creative Mode Project, not a server. As a result, times are dependant on who's hosting, and when specific work times are planned (though most of the hours are just free work time). The IP can change sporadically, and may be use of non-server-hosted maps for offline work and practice, so Skype is a must for people really looking into working on the project. Please message if you have more questions, or want to help!
More details can be found over here: FO: E Project Details Note: We try to keep the document updated, but if you need more recent information, contact us.
New Bridle Project at Blogspot If you want something you can track, as well as more pretty pictures, catch us here!
We're mainly looking for people good at city planning, building structures (from skyscrapers and power plants to suburban houses and parks), and working on the interior of structures. Right now, we're finishing the finishing touches on the land mass the city sits on, so soon we'll need help piecing together city blocks and such.
Don't be shy about offering to help! The more the merrier. All we ask is that you don't be extremely distracting and off topic on the project maps (such as building non-FO:E related things on areas that are laid out for work. If someone's trying to work on a skyscraper, don't build pixel art blatantly in their way!), as well as not harassing other workers.
Below are some pictures of finished work that we'll keep updating as time goes on. We're still working on the city stage, so expect a lot of skyscrapers and large scale buildings.
UPDATED JUNE 8

A small apartment building design still under work.
One of the massive sky scrapers planned to be used
A sketch of a cathedral. The hope is to turn it into a Followers of Apocalypse cathedral, with an image of Fluttershy inside. If not, then perhaps a temple for one of the sister princesses.
Style test buildings made out of clay. Will later be scaled properly out of new material. Most large scale skyscrapers will be tackled in a smaller form in order to work design kinks!
UPDATED JUNE 10

A Derpy statue, planned for a future park. Will be placed in a mountain of awesome.
The sister princesses. Planned for placement in a large political building or some "ENLIST!" billboards.
Some Mane 6 pixel arts, for placement in embassy buildings. Look at those beautiful builders hard at work o:
UPDATED JUNE 22 (Mostly texture pack details)
Four of the mane six (AJ and Pinkie Pie finished in a separate area), radiant with some new wool textures :3
Derpy's also improved with the new gray wool
A few test posters.
Half-finished stoves (made out of furnaces) and a close-up on some new textures.
A test building displaying more new textures and dirty smog rain.
Finished skyscraper shell.
Another finished skyscraper shell.
A sort of cathedral or hall thing, outer shell finished.
Before you post, if you're interested in helping, please check the link to the google document above. We're only accepting people through an application process. PLEASE READ IT THOROUGHLY AND PLEASE SEND US YOUR SAMPLES, NOT JUST HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO HELP! More updates will come soon.
1. When you take screenshots, hit F1 first to get rid of the HUD and chat.
2. Where's the Equestria part, other than you all having MLP avatars? The buildings in the screenshots don't have even the smallest amount of MLP feeling to them. It's like you've never even watched the show.
We are trying to keep it in both a fallout theme and a pony theme.
We are just starting on the project, we are planning to work on more pony themed buildings next. If you have any legitimate suggestions of what we should build first, I'd love to know But again, its a work in progess we're just starting.

For the Equestria part, we will be modeling the city a bit like Manehatten, Stalliongrad, etc, some in-game pony city. Buildings will be named in a puny pony fashion. And since this is based off the fan fiction, the map WILL have notable areas like Vault Stables, laboratories, artificial floating cities, etc. Not to mention, a lot of mobs will be pony-fied. (It's like you've never read the fanfiction...)
Understandable, though, about the lack of MLP touch, give or take the city post apocalyptic feel. We're still going through and redesigning buildings. Most are colorless for now until a texture pack can be constructed. Any pony themes will emerge as structures are more thought out, however there WILL be a heavy reliance on Fallout themes (so lack of bright, happy colors). Most of these themes will come out through texture packs, as well as statues and landmarks.
Like Snlag said; if you have any other suggestions, let us know.
Woah, this looks like it could turn out to be an awesome project, I hope to see more of it soon.
Also, does the terraformer need to be good with World Edit or is it alright if its done by Virtual-Hand, because I have been told (multiple times) that I am good at terraforming. If need be I could even take some pics of my work so you have a general idea of what I can do.

Ah, late reply, wish I checked the thread sooner Dx
Would you mind PMing me some pics? And picking up terraforming with WE is pretty easy - I've seen someone do a small 70x70 mini-landform and blow it up full scale (plus there's always VoxelSniper for smoothing). No doubt, we'll be willing to take you in, since lately we haven't been getting a lot of workers. The more helping hooves, the better!

Ugh XD A late reply myself... I will post pictures as soon as I can (the server I terraformed on went down). Give me a few days for some decent pictures
Might possibly consider making it more mod intense, maybe a few buttons on the GUI.
Reasoning with this we do need someone smart with java, we're planning on adding buttons to the inventory screen and possibly a few other features.
Any help would be lovley ^.^
We're not provoking anyone with thread. If anything, there's been more foul words tossed towards the people working on this project than vice versa. The thread clearly states "My Little Pony" - if you don't like the fandom, steer clear of the thread.
Go ahead, tell me where I can find a place with out pony's.
Go ahead, tell me where I can find a place with out pony's.
I... never told you that I would tell you where you could find a place without ponies. I just suggested that you should avoid threads with "MY LITTLE PONY" in it if you don't like the fandom. They'll most likely contain ponies. According to observation, there seems to be quite a correlation about how ponies are more likely to appear in threads clearly labeled "My Little Pony" as opposed to threads that are not. That isn't a guarantee that you'll be able to avoid the brunt of the MLP fandom, but I am sure it is a start.
While I'm not going to hold your hand and show you places where ponies don't appear en masse (though I can suggest sites like Politigo and TED Talks if you feel like enhancing that mind of yours), I can give you some advice. No hard feelings involved. If you avoid areas clearly labeled with things you do not like, you are more likely not to run into them.
Yes, it does. We're still developing custom skins and such but most of us have some kind of self-made, or in my case friend made, skin that works with the mine little pony mod. PM RoyRenRoxx if you'd like to help, tell us what your good with, wether its terraforming or making houses look good. ^.^
Can never have too many people.

Agreed~
And yes, we'd certainly love to take you in :3 like Snlag said, drop me a PM and I can see about getting you on the server!
