Consider building special viewing locations for key astronomical events.
~a tunnel with a window which faces north and south so you can study the polar star groupings
~A vertical tunnel with top opening to note when the moon or constellations reach Zenith, or the high point.
Make nice indications of north south etc.
Erect monuments/physical markers to locations where key constellations or stars rise or fall. Invent stories to accompany.
There is a group of stars around the northern pole which i have heard referred to as the Helmet. its a nice grouping - i will look for a picture of it.

Sorry for not updating but I had other things to do. I am doubling my efforts and I hope to update as fast as possible. I may have screenshots tommorrow.
