Is there a certain texture pack you'll have to go with the map?
No. I would recommend making sure it looks good at least in the default texture pack - that's what I use when mapmaking, and what I'm most worried about compatibility with.
are we talking ancient or modern Egypt? {A bit stupid question I know, I'm assuming ancient}
Ancient - but emphasis on "inspired by", not "exact copy of". Play with the motifs - use odd shapes or color arrangements, the point is a city that feels strange, but still like a city.
Still looking for submissions, ideally I'd like fifty+ different designs. If you don't have a working map editor, feel free to just upload the whole map file, I can cut it out myself.
Would endstone be an okay building material?(i want a material that looks like bone and i'm struggling to find something to use)
Also do you want us to add furniture or should we do it by ourselves?

End Stone is fine and even encouraged. Furnishings preferred, although I'll go through and add treasure or whatever myself.
It has two fully functional piston doors in it, and even added a puzzle/maze in the basement, but I left the chest empty for you to decide what to put in it.
And here's one on the inside:
I hope you find this useful!
Sorry that it isn't a schematic... I have no idea how to get MC edit working now that everything is in anvil :/
One last question... can i hide my name in the building somewhere?
Sure, long as it's not too obtrusive.
Looking good guys, keep them coming - please keep in mind the player is allowed to break blocks, so any obvious puzzle will probably simply be broken through.
Can i just give you part of the base and you place it over the rest? Like I'll give you 3 blocks of the base and you place it onto of the other two layers?
From what I've seen so far, Cranica is a pretty good (skill, not morality. He's evil and I hate him) map maker. Imagine seeing your creation in video upon video if/when his maps become better known.
I made a restaurant... The furnishings inside are a bit sparse, but hopefully the outside design is acceptable! Of course you can edit anything you don't like. I know you said to use water sparingly, but I think the fountains just make it look more extravagant since it IS in the desert...

Could you upload the world, then? I can extract it from the world myself.
Aha! You're welcome.
You know you want to.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this.
Keep them coming, kiddies!
