Don't judge it by the first picture! I probably should have posted a more recent photo with more content. I'm sorry the pictures are so giant! When I used photobucket for them it resized them, but after 3 hours the photos hit their bandwidth limit. This happened twice so I got fed up with that and created a webs.com account so I can display the photos without hitting any bandwidth limits within 3 hours of reviving the post. Obviously Webs doesn't make the photos as small as photobucket, but at least the MC forums resize them automatically. Every other photo besides these two, in the post are in spoilers, so don't worry about having to wait long to see them.

Map
Fapshire is a modern-day themed city built 99% by Hakata. Construction began on August 12th, 2011. A few houses were built by Emily_2010 I will provide credit for the work of other's where there are pictures of their creations. Fapshire will never be complete because there will always be new additions, as in a real city. The only limits for the city are the sky and my low FPS. I will make it avalible for download once I feel satisfied with the first island that it's on. I will put some progressive screenshots from day one to more recent times, to show how it has grown, in case you are interested. Hopefully Cubic Chunks is updated soon so I can begin making the skyscrapers higher. I want to make something similar to the chrysler building.
I have used creative mode to build around 25% of the city, the other 75% of stuff was built before creative mode was released. My estimate is that 95% of the city was built using Single Player Commands., which is indeed a life saver for me because it has helped so much by reducing the time of building stuff. I don't have a problem with item spawning. I think it is a good thing for people who would rather build than play survival. I am against flattening the terrain to one level because I think it looks unrealistic and boring, so I try to keep the terrain relatively dynamic.
I'll try to talk less and post more screens :tongue.gif:
To begin with, I will post pictures of the central downtown area.
Here's downtown. The building to the left with the "CSL" on it is the stadium. CSL stands for Creeper Sports League, because originally the town was going to be named Creeper Bay. The grey skyscraper in the center has no purpose really other than to look pretty. The lapis block and glass building to the left of that is a skyscraper restaurant. The Sandstone and lapis block building to the left of that is the Bank of Fapshire. To the right of the grey skyscraper is a primarily brick building, which is the apartment building. The black wool and glass building is a random cylindrical tower that I decided to make. To the right on the mountain you can see the observation point which is accessable by walking up the stairs beside the canal's waterfall.
*The tower restaurant in downtown
These are some photos from inside the upscale restaurant
Here is a picture of the City Hall building. I will explain all of the other building behind it later, as they are a seperate part of the city.
A view of downtown from a Condo.
Here is another view of downtown. The black and cyan buildings are offices I built. The smaller grey building in the middle is the city courthouse. To the right of that is a brick building which is the city university (it is still incomplete.) In the bottom right corner is the radio station called WANK 101.2 (yes a lot of the city has a pun of wanking, such as the city name itself and the radio station) Behind the court and university you can see part of the highway which leads into the Fapshire Slums and soon to the next island. Back over to the left you can see part of a sand building to the left, which is where I live in the city. The wool and spruce log building right below the horizon is a house I built recently, since the area it sits on looked blank before it was built. Above the cyan tower in the building is a wooden, stone slab, and cobblestone built condo which sits on a nice hill with an excellent view of downtown and the canal.
Here is another view of the city, facing the waterfall which feeds into the canals. Next I will explain what is to the right of the canal in this photo.
Here is the opposite side of the canal.
An overview of the opposite side of town. This side of the canal is more suburban. A few of the houses were built by Emily_2010 so I will put seperate photos in this section with credit. I am using the houses as placeholders for now until I have the patience to build a house. The tall, white building in the background is the hotel with a huge penthouse that occupies the two top floors. The sign on the mountain which says "Fapshire" is supposed to be similar to the HollyWood sign in Hollywood, California. Directly below that is where the mayor (me :tongue.gif:) lives. The blue building to the left was an experimental build. All the way to the left is a white building, which I just complete yesterday. This is the hospital which was very boring to build. The sand building with the "Spanish tile roof" (it's really dirt), is an expensive condo building which even has a parking garage under it. To the left of that is a brick house which I built. The smaller brick house off to the right of the condo is a townhome built by Emily_2010. The white house with a wooden roof further back is another house built by Emily_2010. Closer to the canal, right in the center of the picture is several row houses I built. The structure behind them with the lime green perimeter is a gas station. To the right of the row houses, the building with the parking lot, below my house, is a restaurant called Bravo Burger, the generic sounding name is intended.
Here is a view of that side of town, but from the other direction, since some buildings were obstructed.
the white house and brick house to the right were built by Emily_2010 and are serving as placeholders for now. Between them is a community garden. The blue house above the white one is a victorian style house also built by Emily_2010. In total there are 4 houses built by her and everything else in the city I built myself.

You can see that the palace is complete now.

-Slum Palace completed (but still unfurnished)
-New row houses on a beach
The row houses and the slum palace to the right.
-more love put into everything.
-graffiti added to some buildings in the slums
graffiti on some buildings and you can see a new park that was made in the foreground. The park is the gravel crossroads to the mid-right. Yes that is a broken fountain within the park.
-named a bunch of streets
-made a new park in the suburbs
-added interior walls and finished a few rooms in the university
-worked on the railway system a bit.
-Added a lighthouse
*12/10/11
-Added oil rigs on the desert island across the river.
-named the desert area, opposite side of the river, it is now named "Budai" I changed the place of the 'B' and 'D' in Dubai to make this name. I plant on making this part of the area a large desert city and I might attempt to make something similar to the huge skyscraper in Dubai ( I forgot the name of it) and I might also make the famous hotel.
*12/16/11
I saw a dead body being carried out of someone's house into a brown van (medical examiner.) Back on topic now...
-added a new gas station near the bridge area. Screenshots coming soon
-changed several trees around town to "cherry trees" by making their leaves pink wool.
-built a tall pink building. A condo or hotel.

I'm planning on putting a release some time soon, I am just finishing up a few projects and making a version suitable for release.
and dammit, I hit my photobucket bandwidth for the month.
I like this layout and architecture ALOT, row houses look a little strange and a bit too colorful but still good job. Been wanting to build a modern city like this for a while now.
@#$%#@$%#$% I am tired of these damn photobucket bandwidth limits.
I'm not going to upgrade to pro when I can just create like 5 webs.com accounts to different emails and upload them for free without the bandwidth limits and without paying.
@zeroothree
I know :V Photobucket sucks so I'm going to make tons of web.com accounts and upload the pictures there, since they won't do the same thing and webs.com is free. I'll have to make a few accounts though since there is a size limit to each website.
EDIT: In fact, today I will try to gradually switch the pictures between sites. I'll start from the beginning of the post and work my way down.
