I was playing foosball this morning and was wondering, how could I make this in minecraft?
I have an idea that the ball could be a minecart and there could be a few tracks with paths that lead to the goal. Does anyone have any other Ideas?
As a multiplayer game it is best suited for multiplayer servers, most servers now use Bukkit which allows for the use of plugins to modify the mechanics of the game (slightly)
One of these plugins is one that allows you to assign a block, which can be pushed by players, when pushed it will move one block distance in any direction, therefore allowing foosball (or football) to be played. The plugin also allows goals to be set to distinguish each team. It's a nice way to play foosball on a server and is relatively easy to setup.
- Block pusher Here
- Chicken football Here <-- plugins
- Slimeball Soccer Here
In vanilla Minecraft (without Mods or plugins):
The ball is a slimeball and when a player receives the ball they must stand still, other players may move around, the player with the ball must throw it, trying to get it to another player on their team and eventually on the opposition goal (a wooden plate that alerts the ref that a goal has been scored).
I hope this helped, its jolly well fun playing football with your friends on a server!
Cheers for that. Those are sort of more like football not foosball. But I will definitly try them out
