I'm 1/2 way through writing a tutorial on building the pagoda...
I would definitely check that out, very interested in working out how to make my own pagoda and even work it into a castle or adventure map I am making

Interested in getting some creative building or writing done for a large RPG server? head over HERE to apply!
My current country-side abode, which is a work in progress but ultimately my best architectural design yet:
Front side. The quasi-porch allows me to step outside and survey the yard without risk of anything sneaking up from the sides.
Back side. A nice bay window to view the bluff from.
Kitchen.
Hallway.
Relaxation room. Fireplace will be finished eventually. Too picky and can't decide where to put a Nether portal. :laugh.gif:
Upstairs bedroom. Currently attempting to redesign it so that it doesn't suck so much.
Needed more space, so I built a basement. Needed a way to get down there from in the house so I hid the ladders under the staircase.
Basement. Vault in front, enchantment room on right, either a furnace room or a rail room on left. Not sure yet.

Here is the sort of fortress/castle iv'e been working on for a while, i got my inspiration from YogcastSjin and his youtube castle series:
(i made it smaller because i want to keep adding to the borders around it)
also a nice observatory in between the large walls im making
and this is what it looked like yesterday
constructive critisim and comments of what would look good if added to the fortress would be very much appreciated
Some of these look really good. I think I'm going to have to go into my server and take some more screenshots as we're doing a Wipe when 1.2 comes out. Biomes and everything are just whacked now.
My builds mainly focus on a Stone brick stair/slab roof with a base material of wood, stone, clay, end stone,or even wool for my chalet that I deleted.
First we will open the proceedings with a custom map I made:
Next, my twin airships:
My creative manor with castle walls, you may see one of the airships:
My house on 6sidedpvp ( a pvp server!):
I am rather annoyed that my application for the voxel box was denied, although the application does say"Images must be hosted on Imgur.com and videos must be hosted on youtube.com" and I use Photobucket.
First of all I'd like to thank 64_hit_combo for starting this topic! Great idea :laugh.gif: Here is a Modern house that i built on SSP, it's legit.
Btw, constructive criticism is appreciated.
The Outside:
I am actually working on an entire modern village / base. If i get enough likes i might post screenshots of the entire thing. :smile.gif:
Man, I adore modern and can't do it to save my ass. Big props to you.
As for me, I'm just starting to really get into building stuffs, but I try to focus on making things based off the environment around them. Usually I just fly around until I see a spot that seems perfect for a certain type of building. I'll post some pics next time I'm on my desktop.
I focus my builds around a dark log frame, then add in stone for the walls, but wood for the second + floors, i like to make them look as realistic as possible. mainly a nordic viking medieval kind of builder

Features full scale 1:1 Pantheon, Hagia Sophia, and Vitruvian Amphitheatre (mathematically correct proportions.)
Edit: Hagia Sophia: 75,784 blocks
Amphitheater: 211,084 blocks
The Pantheon: 33,938 blocks
(Obviously I suck at building)
