hey people, i have been playing mc for quite a while and ive looked at alot of epic builds since i started. ive only now got up the courage to show some of my work. im not that great so please dont be too hard on me ;D
Agreeing with the above, the diagonal builds are unique. I personally don't tend to like them, given the limitations, so I don't build them, but I can appreciate them. The diagonal farm, especially, I am loving. I probably won't do any more diagonal bridges (tried it and didn't like it) but the farm is interesting.
You have a variety of roof styles rather than just one. I've always had trouble putting more variety in my locations/villages because then it feels like they should just be in different places I guess.
I think the windmill blades should be bigger; not sure if it'd be as accurate but it just looks too small. I think it has too many lanterns hanging from the side of it too.
Do you intend to move villagers in 9and maybe expand it), or is this just a personal base of sorts? I am loving in the new versions how there's so much ambient life added with new mobs, new villager behavior, etc. (shaders help here with the moving foliage, as does better foliage-alike resource packs). I started a new world recently, and my project has been to just rebuild a village I found as my initial place.
These are amazing, your roofs and diagonals in particular are really good. I think diagonals look amazing, but I have difficulty pulling them off. You also have very diverse roofs wich give your build a much better appearance. I haven't built anything nearly this cool in minecraft ever. Your market stalls look really nice there too.
