So I've been working on new designs and trying to make better white country houses. With the help of a friend I was able to create two properties, one of which being fully furnished. There's a large yard outside with many features and a unique causeway that connects the two houses.
Here are screenshots (click to open spoiler):
Of course, sometimes videos are better to see it. Here's a scary video I made that kinda helps show details of the properties:
Anyway, what are your thoughts? How could I improve this property?
Two swimming pools, basketball AND tennis courts.... clearly a very upscale neighborhood.
I don't think the connecting passage fits the style of the houses: it might make sense as a latter addition by someone who acquired both properties and wished to combine them, but my instinct would be to run the connection(s) underground.
It's not well shown in the pics, but the treehouse looks nicely done. (A fun addition to the property.)

WARNING: I have an extemely "grindy" playstyle; YMMV — if this doesn't seem fun to you, mine what you can from it & bin the rest.

Thanks for the advice! Dang, why didn't I think of the causeway underground? Ahh, oh well. I think I will probably make the underground sometime; you're right that it would fit better.
For the driveway, you should replace the grass path with a stone block. Grass paths are fine for the other paths. I also think you need to do more landscaping work, the grass around the house feels plain. Something as simple as making it striped with another green block (I recommend green concrete powder) can make it seem a lot less empty.
Also, you should place upside down stairs under your overhangs on the ends of the roofs, so that it looks smooth and doesn't have a choppy look from the corners.

I have nothing here, go look somewhere else.
What shaders are you using? If it's not a secret.
