So I recently started playing minecraft after a pause. First thing I did was I built a house. That house is numbered as House 1. I didn't build that one in one day but after I finished it I built another house - this time trying to do something a bit more experimental. After the second house, I built another house the next day. Then another. And another. I spent 10 days playing minecraft and all the houses were finished in the time period of 10 days. Some I worked on for multiple days but I started them all one day after the other. It was a good experience because It made me build out of borders and not worry about how is It all gonna turn out. Many houses are a mess but there are a few that I really like. Not every house that you build will be amazing - some just don't work. After all this, I've improved my building skills and can try to make a more normal house. Some maps have been deleted and some are on my computer. House 4 is available for download on PMC (on my page). If you're a beginner builder I recommend trying this challenge. You don't have to do it for 10 days or make a new house every day but at least try building crazy stuff. Maybe something good will come out of this mess.
Very cool creative exercise! Out of the ones presented, I think I'm partial to both Houses 1 and 9. 9 has a really lovely color scheme, and I love how spacious and innovative 1 seems. You should make another post on this thread attaching screenshots of the rest! I'd love to see them!
The top five houses you chose are great, but I'm surprised at how large you made them since you only gave yourself a day to complete it. Very impressive. My favorite is probably the one that resembles ice cream scoops (pic on the right on top row).
