I've recently gone back to building and I'm a bit rusty, but do you think this looks nice? Please leave honest answers. If it is lacking in some things *cough* interior designing *cough*, then any advice on improving it?
You could make tables, use stained glass/panes to make 'drapes/curtains' between open rooms, use ladders to help break up wall space... Putting two leaf blocks on a log and putting trap doors around the log can make great indoor hedge plants as well~ Also, if mods are an option, there are lots of really cool furniture ones out there depending on which version you're running~
edit: stairs make good chairs around tables, too!
also, I love that you used dark oak stairs for the roof! It adds a nice contrasting touch~
Thanks Lux! Very nice advice there. Also, I'm currently not working on anything even though I have lots of free time because the computer I have my world on suddenly broken down for some reason. I'll start building as soon as I get it working! In the meantime, you guys have any builds that you have submitted to the forums recently?
It's a good get back build, their can definitely be some improvement though. The exterior although good is a little flat, maybe add some torches or window panels, also add some more shrubbery. Interior wise some things can be added, carpet, fire place, chairs, table, kitchen, and so fourth.
Keep up the good work!

Wow. This looks nice. You have nothing to worry about... It just looks frightfully small. And maybe add some glowstone, or add some variety, like, wool floors. (This requires making your house taller [You do not want wool ceilings, do you?])

I post pretty rarely nowadays. Gosh, I wish this place weren't so... empty...
The house is pretty good, but it needs more color variation in the building block palette. Right now, it's all wood-brown. Usually, sandstone or brick looks nice with wood, but experiment a bit.
Also, the shape could be a little less blocky, and could have a bit more odds and ends lying around to make it look busier, but other than that it's a nice house.
The restaurant is very nice. Try adding some depth to the walls (inlay a couple things, add frames that jut out a bit, etc.) though, and make it somewhat larger with more space inside.

Thank you for reading!
This is pretty cool! Welcome back to the builders team!
Armor stands, paintings, item frames, carpets and maybe a jukebox can give a special touch to the interior.
Gardens, trees and flowers can improve the outside too. Also, a water well should fit pretty good in the exterior.
Good job!
Thanks for the advice! I will make sure to incorporate these into the scene!
Flower pots, dogs, cats. glowstone lights?

I'll add that in mind. Thanks for the advice!

Update! Just got some stuff done on the build. Added A LOT more greenery.
I likes. I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with it. In mlg language "no h8 m8 i r8 8/8"
"thx m8 4 d r8." Honestly, thanks for the support!
I like it, only thing that catches me a little is that birch door. Anyways, great job!
Yeah, maybe a dark oak wood door!
Wow, looks even better than before!

I've built a fast food shop with an asian twist. Think it looks nice?
Ooh. Looks just as good as the last one.

I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".
I really like the idea but if you were to use Tinker's Construct and get clear glass panes I think it would look even better then it already does.
