about 3 weeks so far not counting the map itself (the map and terrain took 2 days of work in world painter) but before this I worked on many other projects including a previous Erebor and many statues projects so all the skills and experience I earned helped me with this one. I'm mostly happy with how the statues look, by far the best statues I made in minecraft
There are lots of details which you may not see since all my photos are taken from a long distance. The front gate is 9 blocks in thickness with lots of details, decorations, tunnels, stairs and ladders connecting the whole gate together (no longer a gate actually, more like a fortress on its own).
The whole front gate and statues are supposedly carved out of the same type of green stone and there to simply protect the inside of it which as you can see have way more variation.
It really looks awesome but I have to agree with Ilgoth; there's not enough block variation. I honestly thought that first image was like a model or frame for block placing, not the actual color of the build.
