The mini games below are very fun and would work very well for console.
hockey: this could actually work because 4j could make the floor ice and i don't know the puck would be maybe a sitting tamed cat or some mob and you push it, or you hit an object on the ice the slides in the direction you hit it. the positions would be defense, goalie and offense, i don't know how you'd choose them.
sheep quest: there are four teams, red, blue, yellow, and green, the game can only start at four or more players so theres at least 1 player on each team. each team starts across from the center, in the center every 15 seconds or more or less a sheep spawns and any player can pick it up and bring it to that players base, each sheep is one point and you can also capture sheep from other teams bases. each round has a time limit and a t the end of the round whoever has most points wins. every team has weapons and armor that match the kit they chose, there are three kits and each one is free.
kit 1: leather armor, chain helmet, and stone sword
kit 2: full leather armor, wooden sword, bow, and infinite arrows
kit 3: full leather armor, and diamond sword
skywars: hard to explain, watch youtube or go on hypixel, or pretty much any mini game server.
build battle: each player has there own place to build the assigned object, each player builds the same thing and has five minute to build until they vote on the builds, after everyone got voted on whoever had the best votes wins.
capture the flag: there are two teams and each team has a flag, the teams have to capture the other teams flags, there are kits you use to fight the other players. you defend your flag or go after the other flag, you already know where the other teams flag is. whover captures flag and brings it back to there bas first wins.
capture the wool: capture the flag but the flag which is a block of wool is hidden inside a pile blocks that your team builds around it. you have a pickaxe and try to mine your way through the blocks and find the wool but while you do that you will be attacked by the other team and some blocks have traps. while the game is going on you may build more blocks and when you die you spawn 50 or more or less blocks away from the wool.
hopefully 4j adds one or more of these mini games and if you have any other ideas tell me in the comments and i will put it in the pole.
Bedwars: very fun and popular like skywars. for this 4j would have to add 16 players to the consoles that don't have 16 players yet. 12 would also work because bed wars can be played with 12 players. the game is where there are 4 teams of 4 or 4 teams of 3. I think there used to be 8 teams but not anymore so if you make bedwars dont screw it up by making it 8 teams there must be 4, thank u. each team has a bed they need to protect. each team is on their own island in the void. there is a middle island and their is two islands diagonal from your island. both of those two islands have diamond generators and you use those diamonds to buy stuff from a shop at your island. at the center island there is an emerald generator and on your island there is an iron and gold generator. you can also use diamonds and iron and stuff for traps or something. one trap is where whenever an enemy steps foot on your island a title appears on your screen that tells you that an enemy is on your island. you can also use diamonds to buy enchantments for your armor and sword. you can also buy spawn eggs to fight. you cannot break blocks unless the block was placed by a player. If your bed is destroyed you will not respawn after death, thats the point of the bed. last team left wins. you spawn with an unbreakable wooden pickaxe to start and leather boots and leggings. in the shop u can enchant armor. If you still don't understand it very much or i didn't do a good job of explaining it watch it on youtube or go on hypixel to find out how it works.
Paintball: Two teams. each player has infinite snowballs and two revival splash potions. if you get hit by a snowball four times u die. when you die your red dead body stays there so when a teammate comes they can revive with a splash potion. You should add some kits and stuff like a paintball bomb kit.
lavawars: this is where 4 cobblestone and bedrock walls form a square structure with no ceiling so its light. in the structure the floor is lava. there is a big hole in the bedrock/cobblestone walls big enough for players to do stuff. these holes are players bases. There is a chest in this base that has armor, food, and weapons that you use to kill the other players. you should add some other stuff into the chest. Each chest has a bow and the same amount of arrows. the chest also has 5 blocks for building. there is wood in your base for crafting and building. The floor is made of sandstone in your base. in the middle of the lava there is ores, enchantment tables, brewing stands, and anvils. last player standing wins. you should probably add some other stuff.
The problem is this, The game cant monitor all of the builds for build battle, so someone might build something innapropriate and there is nothing the game can do about it.
