Hi guys I played Minecraft when it came out on xbox 360 but took a long break for a few years and recently got back into it on xbox one and I am trying to get back up to speed with how things work. I have about 10 librarians at the minute each with their trades locked to books I want. I originally had them all roaming in a room while breeding but decided to move them to a proper trading hall in my base, I had a section for each one with each to their own lectern and as I brought then in 1 by 1 they stopped picking lecterns so I just made an open room for them and found which villager I wanted by looking at their names. After trading a few times for paper and the enchanted books they stopped refreshing their trades without me destroying any lecterns and there were more lecterns than villagers. After days of replacing the lecterns to no avail I decided to make another villager hall over 100 blocks from my base and the first 3 I brought down refreshed their trades but the next one didn't and now I'm back a square one where they won't refresh again. I have been playing on my realm for the last 4-5 moths through some updates so I'm hoping its just a bug or something I'm doing wrong. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it and if you want to add me on xbl to chat my gt is Ganox.
Replacing of the blocks that employs them only works if you haven't traded with them yet as far as I know. When it comes to refreshing trades though I'm not too sure. I mostly just considered waiting a few days, but nothing happened, so I focused on trading among villagers for talk between them and discounts did happen but I don't know if it was for any I'd maxed the trade for. Otherwise the only other thing I'd consider is maybe making them a zombie villager and seeing if that works but I've not had much luck getting it to work in Bedrock with a few villagers that were zombie villagers first before converting them or those in a village where more talk/gossip is likely. The wiki might have something on this hopefully but I can't answer as I am still working this out myself.
