Hello everyone! First post here on the forum and it's a little different... I've started from scratch after lurking for a long while and have decided to finally go ahead and purchase an additional XBox One to run as a server for Minecraft. I'm looking for a few other ADULT players that are seeking to play in a world where we would each have a set amount of area to build their base / house on and there will be a central area where we could create a town for joint needs, i.e. food production, iron farm, etc... Everyone would have a role to play, and teamwork is encouraged. No stealing other peoples stuff, no blowing up their house, no PvP, basic friendly world rules apply. The world will be a large size, random seed, set in normal mode. Host options will NOT be on. Would anyone be interested in joining something like this?
Great! I forgot to mention in the original post to include your age and time zone to be added to the list. Once I get everything set up, I'll send the invites out via PM and Xbox Live and we can go from there! My idea is to create the central hub at 0,0 on whatever seed comes up and expand out from there. Of course, you can explore and decide where you want to build your base from there and once we get enough players, we can decide how big each persons land claim should be based on a vote. I'm not going to make all the rules, I'd rather the group make the rules as we go and figure out what works best for the group. Thanks!
I'm on the East Coast in the U.S. and I'm in my 30's. My kid got me into Minecraft and now it's about all I play. I'm a big Etho and Vintagebeef fan and hope this server can emulate something like a Hermitcraft community.
I'd say it will be up and running in a couple of hours at the latest, I have set up the Xbox and created the world, I'm just getting the "ghost player" to a safe spot. Once that's done, I'll send the invite.
I've added everyone that has replied so far. Please don't start animal farms at your bases. Let's keep the animal farms close to 0,0 so we can get some good rates considering the mob cap limits. I'll start some work around 0,0 for community stuff when I'm back online. Thanks!
