For new players
Once you arrive, rules to know, no killing, no attacking, no stealing. I've ban 3 people for taking stuff from other people chess. We will try to provide a room/quarter, a bed and a crafting table from there away you go. Exception made are guards (we would try to provide iron breastplate and iron sword.
What do I do, if you never came you will load into the jungle...far far away lol...stay calm, turn 180 degrees from your original position and start walking, someone will go and guide you back (sometime it take a bit of time, be patient)
Second you will enter (most likely) by the front gate (really huge...), on top you'll have the guards towers(2) and the alchemist tower (future potion maker and enchantments), you'll walk by if you turn left, an Inn is there and where a room will be assign (once you find another occupation, you resting location will move). Once check in, if you go the building on the left, it's a Vpatel's 25 Pub, food is on the top floor, take only what you need, Xavier and Vpatel 25 are our two farmers/pub owners and working hard to have food for us.
Near the pub, another staircase and two towers, beginning of the royal castle, it's off limits...to everyone except me, and senior people, Sojati (head of the Inn) , Vpatel (head of the pub) and possibly C50xXxCALL, sergeant of the guard. They 're allowed on demand only.
Now, here are some position that we need and are still available.
4 City/night guards. Under C50xXxCALL command
Armorer
Weaponsmith
Gatherer guild (miners/Lumberjack) for ressources
Explorer guild (exploration, detection, finding ressources)
Templars (for temple) responsible for the Nether portal.
General store keeper.
Sojati do you need more people for the Inn?
Feb 1st, money will be introduce (redstone or Gold nuggets), at that point everyone will be paid for service done and charge for food, shelter (INN), and buying sword, armor and other... At that point "The depot" will be buying ressources and valuables collected.
Everyone will start with 10(redstone or nuggets)
Sojati will determine price for the Inn
Vpatel for food
will se for the rest, hope it clarifies everything.
Well the good news is that I think the server will be open during the day (your time zone), and yes your the lady in charge of Inn/tavern...You can even name it what you want (so far the first floor is build and pretty cool).

He knows there is a Minecraft community on PC but I'm not very comfortable with such an open environment of people... I build a lot and I build fast...

Guard : Leather armor and stone sword.(starting kit)
Lieutenant : Iron breastplate and iron sword (promotion)
Sergeant: Gold breast plate and sword (promotion)
Major: Diamond breastplate and sword (promotion)
What do you think, it would be base on time and service?
I agree with pay and responsibility, deals were kind of limited for now but we can revisit after we have the economy going. Better quarters, I suggest you visit the towers, space are equal in each quarter, and moving all the time might not be the best , except if we expand the towers and main gate...that might be an interesting concept.
Sojali, is there a way to do another conversation on the side with vpatel and Call, to talk about the economy? in a different chat maybe? You my expert now...you have connections,lol
Hopefully, and we would have guard and shop keepers to help. What I'm more worried about is the pirce themselves, if using Redstone what would 1 Redstone buy you, and what a good wage would be...etc...me and my sons tested some system on our last game that was semi-successful. I feel that with more people it might need to be more structured.
Has an example (just putting numbers here),
Guard make 1 RS for each creeper powder (killing a creeper in the city or city region), his wage is 1 Rs per week. He has now 2RS.
He tend goes to by food, buying 25 Watermelon slice for 1 RS and 5 steak with the other.
The Pub (vpatel and Xavier ) split the profit 1 RS each knowing they will have to pay rent of 5 RS a week and keep the profit. After a week the y have 3 RS each that they want to buy better tools (Iron or better) so they go the Armorer...
I see a flow, managing 4 character was easy, but 20 is going to be more complicated even if kept simple. I see three objectives to make this work
1) people being honest or having a way of collecting
