Ok so I've been doing a little research and troubleshooting -
error message: "you cannot join b because you are not friends with anyone in the game"
- when you send a friend invite, you are "following" that person, but they have to accept your invite or request you back in order to enter each other's games. the "friendship" has to go both ways
error message: "you cannot join because you are not friends with the host"
security settings can be another issue - if you only allow "friends" to join, a "friend of a friend" won't be able to go in unless they are friends with the host
- if you allow "friends of friends" this should solve that problem
there's another setting under "system" where you need to make sure your NAT is set to "open"
as a last resort, you may have to remove a friend and add them again. we've tried all of these and are back in a game, but my son keeps getting killed and his stuff taken so he's getting frustrated.

I'm really happy to see a community of parents finding other kids to play with their kids. I would join, but I'm 15 and I usually prefer to play with people my own age. I just want to say that I really admire this thread and if I encounter parents looking for friends for their kids, I will definitely point out this thread. Have a great day!
Hey all. My niece (Kacey, 7) has been getting into Minecraft as of late, and is looking for people her own age to play with. She plays under my account (A NVCR Intern). If there are any parents/guardians/whatever who would be willing to help me out, feel free to message me over xbox live (or reply back here, whatever's best) and we can set something up. If it helps any, we are GMT +0930 (So Adelaide, Australia).
Edit 1: To poor Caleb who I think I scared off because I was on the Mic instead of her, sorry about that! I try and take precautions by being on the mic first, and I was sorting out the game for her at the time. Things like that happen I suppose. Anyways, just so people can see who we are, I took a quick picture. If any other parent/guardian/whatever (Timezone isnt too much an issue, just don't be too disappointed if it's midnight here and she's in bed) who still would like to set something up, that would be great.
