Sorry for an absolute noob question, but I'm a little confused regarding something which I was hoping you could clarify for me.
So I've played Minecraft on Xbox 360 for years and just never bothered to upgrade when the Xbox One came out, I've recently just bought a Xbox One X so obviously need to upgrade my Minecraft, I'm seeing different versions abut which is confusing me a little bit.
I saw the Minecraft Super Plus Pack which I was going to buy as the graphics thing looked great but everyone seems to pushing that release date back till Spring next year so I was just going a copy for Xbox one because I can't wait that long.
However now I'm seeing various versions and I'm not sure which one I actually need to buy? Do I just buy an Xbox One Disc version from Amazon but then I see people talk about a Bedrock Edition and then a Better Together Edition, What version was the Super Plus Pack?
There are two versions that run on the XBox One. There is the Minecraft Xbox One Edition, which is no longer being developed. Then there is the one that is just called Minecraft, which is also known as the Better Together Update which uses the Bedrock Engine.
The "Super Duper Graphics Pack" is just DLC that will be coming out later. It will only work with the Bedrock engine version.
If you buy the old Xbox One edition you will be able to port your worlds over from your Xbox 360 and play them on the Xbox One. However, you will not have the cross-platform play between Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10, and iOS/Android users. You also will not be able to use the super duper graphics pack when it comes out. HOWEVER... If you play the Xbox One Edition for at least 5 hours before March (I believe it is), then you can get the new version for free and be able to play both. Once you have the new version, you can migrate your world files from the Xbox One Edition to the new version. The world migration to the new version is still a little "iffy" so it might not work right.
If you just buy the newer version you won't be able to migrate your Xbox 360 worlds to your Xbox One and use them.
The new version is also quite different in a lot of ways that may frustrate you if you are used to the 360/Xbox One editions. I would suggest watching some videos on the Better Together Update and seeing what your favorite Minecraft Console YouTuber has to say.
Personally I would buy the original Xbox One Edition (you will probably only find it used since it's not supposed to be sold new at this point), play it for the five hours and download the new version and have both for the price of one. At least the Xbox One edition will feel more natural to you as you are used to playing on the 360. Even when you get the new version, you can still play either one. If you really want to play with the super duper graphics pack, you will need the new version in order to use it.
