Will the caps for passive mobs be lifted? Will we now need to breed due to low spawn rates of passive mobs? Will entity counts be lifted? Will the caps on villagers finally go way? Will spawners be able to spawn above and beyond mob caps like on PC? Will the spawn rates be finally fixed? If our worlds do transfer over will it keep important areas, like witch huts, and neither fortresses, ocean temples, ect.
Hopefully we get some of these questions answered in the near future.
All these questions have been answered in one of their Official Twitch livestream and yes the console version that'll be in the Bedrock version will act the same exact thing as the Windows 10/PE editions so that means infinite mob caps, Infinite breeding and all that.
And FINALLY Infinite worlds are coming to consoles too (ONLY Switch and Xbox One/XB1X)

Thank you people for sharing more information. I think I should put my big survival project on hold. It will be waste of time if I set up 3 or 4 places because of mob cap and entity limits on console edition. With the new bedrock version, I could cut down to 2 places to balance out and to avoid the lag - if the information is right or most of it is true. I think this is sweet deal, however, I do hope the redstone is as good as it is on PC/ Console.
So from what I understand the new 4k update will have infinite worlds right? What is the likelihood that old worlds that you transfer over will become infinite as well?

I wonder if Minecraft Xbox one edition worlds will transfer explored chunks only or will it transfer the 5000 by 5000 map regardless if its unexplored. Just a thought.
I own the disc version, and I've seen, "Players who own Minecraft: Xbox One Edition on disc and have bought DLC or played for at least five hours in the past 12 months will be able to upgrade to Minecraft for free, for a limited time." Does that mean I will have to pay for the newer version?
So will it just appear as a regular update or will they announce it or what
I would imagine they will announce it seeing as it seems like its kind of a big deal. This is entirely speculation on my part, I am in no way associated with any of the responsible parties.
Does anyone know a date it's coming out for console?
It's difficult to say what the date is but my guess is that the official release(for Xbox one) is coming out late September or early October. That's if the beta builds play well. To me it seems that the developers are on top of things. Hopefully there will be fewer bugs on the official release.

Anyone having luck transferring their worlds from console to BTU beta? If so are there any bugs like world structures(witch huts ocean monuments, etc) not transferring properly? I can't seem to get mine transferred. It just crashes.
The beta is simply not worth playing on right now. It just feels wrong to me, don't know how to explain it as I only played on it for 5 minutes.
First off, none of the skin and texture packs you've bought have been added to that version yet, so you have to play as Ugly Steve on Ugly Default textures, and the menus are a complete hassle to navigate right now.
It definately feels odd, but it performs much better, from the time I put in. I too am holding off on DLC transfer to really dive in. Our world just looks broken without the City texture pack.
I wonder how to Nether and the end dimension will convert? Will it keep the bedrock wall. Maybe reset the chunks around it?

No. It means that, when the new version hits, your window of time to claim it will be limited. Once you have it, it's there for good.

Ok thanks.

It would have to be on or before that special Minecraft themed XOS comes out.
