i have transferd a save from my 360 (about 200 hours spent in my builder survival world) to my xbox one toconinue playing but since the latest updates i'm missing a lot of new blocks (the underwater fort blocks for instance)
my question is if anybody got any idea how to get the added blocks without leaving my awesome world?
or a button so i can reset certain map parts in my world because i am not starting from scratch now i have build an island in mid-air.
what you have to do is increase the world size from the "more options"/"world options" menu. the problem is that it will not blend properly and will look funny. i would make a backup copy and try it with and without the overwrite world edges option on and off. both don't work very well but will give you the new biomes on the new surrounding maps.
i tried this when bringing my 360 world over but didn't like the way the new world was generated so i just started a new world.
unfortunately, you are correct. if your world is already the largest size and you have been to every map there is no way to add the new content. if there are maps you have not been on, the new biomes etc will appear on those maps only.
my friends and i went through this as well, some had even planned for it by keeping their worlds smaller until after the update. it didn't help, no one was satisfied with the merger of new content to old. i purposely left the outer ring unexplored but when i saw how the content merged and how far i had to travel just to search for the new....... extremely small biomes......
we all had hundreds if not thousands of hours on our maps and every single one of us eventually abandoned our original maps to make a new start with the new content. there was some complaining and moaning at the beginning but we have never looked back.
